Rachel's Truth: A Cuckold Thriller

Is it so much to ask that a writer of erotic fiction play around with the concept of infidelity and hotwifing, while maintaining a level of realism that brings any scenario to life, but at the same time write in a way that is fantasy when you finally take a step back to look at the whole picture, at such a high quality of intelligent writing it makes you think this was an author born to tell these stories, all while keeping what stories are written fresh and interesting? Rachel has been working her tail off ever since her accident to recover from her injury. She's taken it to heart so much so that she works out all the time, won't even feel good about her day if she hasn't done her physical therapy. She has a slight limp, but she's made such incredible progress that her limp is the last thing you'll notice about her. Her accident was about the only thing that would ever slow her down, though, and even though it was a challenge for her to have experienced it, you would be hard pressed to deny that it actually made her a stronger person. That says a lot because this is a woman who would run circles around you, even with a slightly antalgic gait. Her husband, Carl, is like her wheaties in the morning. Steady, if a little bland, but good for her and keeps her centered. They have a beautiful little daughter Jessie who is taking after her mother and live in suburban South Florida, he runs a car dealership and is a local celebrity for it, life is good. Nothing to complain about, that is except for one thing, Rachel is kind of bored. Not really, life really is good, but things are so settled down now out of necessity that the drive to be her wild self is driving her stir crazy. It's sometimes gotten her in trouble when she's around other men who can match her energy, that is when the mood strikes her as well, but she has a family and that matters to her more than anything. She frequently takes a trip to a nearby town to visit her aging mother, and along the way passes a drive-by (at least for her class) town of Pahokee. For whatever reason, despite her anxieties for doing so, she ends up in a rundown gas station looking to fill up, and ends up in the rest room. A dirty old place with a literal hole in the wall. Despite her reservations there's a reason why she's shown up to this particular place on the way to visiting mom, and as planned, she's no longer alone. One of my favorite elements of this story is having a wife that has so much life and determination built up inside that she can't even be mad or feel too guilty when she finally unleashes it, and when Rachel gets caught by her husband and sees he's reluctantly into it, it felt like that part of a superhero movie when the protagonist realizes they have superpowers. What ensues is the superhero going absolutely ham trying it out, even discovering her own weakness, that she needs Carl to watch. Is it difficult to ask for the quality of author that suites me? Apparently it is because I can't find two. I'm just glad I found one.

Well...really not my cup of tea!!! It is well written as always by KT..masterful story teller...I am not a fan of Rachel...I guess she is what Car always wanted and wasn't sure of. Rachel is bad very bad...the Truth comes out in unexpected ways to Carl...My issue is Carl just so weak...weaker then most of KT make shares but maybe not by much...Loved the story till big reveal ..again not my cup of tea..the humiliation not for me...I would have been on a episode of Scorned on ID channel...3 went in House ..1 coming out type of ID channel story...but till then story was Hot. 4 out of 5 for me...Still all in all a great work for one of my fav authors for this type of book.

Rachel was a wild party girl and that drove Carl insane with jealousy and something else, something much darker. Then it happened. Rachel almost lost a leg because of a car crash with a drunk, spoiled, teenage driver. Years later, she still walked with a limp and suffered from constant pain, but because of a vigorous exercise program comprised of swimming one hundred laps three times per week, she was strong. She was always hot, but now, she was even hotter. This is KT Morrison’s new book, Rachel’s Truth. In this book, KT explores the darkness. KT explores the true nature of Rachel and Carl. She does so in the style KT Morrison fans expect. Readers are taken on drives through Florida as if KT has been there. KT’s words have meaning. This book is no exception. Truth is often hard to swallow, and these two characters face their truth delivered by a motorcycle club rider coincidentally named Truth. Marvelously direct, Truth is what this couple have needed but never knew until that night when Rachel got gas and lost her wallet in the rundown gas station’s bathroom. This is a fun romp where characters go from zero to two hundred mph in a faster than possible way. It’s light switch done right. Humorous, too! Still, this book is not for everyone, but we liked it. My wife and I give this book five stars. If you are a fan of cuckold themed stories that go to the extreme side, you’ll like this book… a lot.

I normally don't bother to leave negative reviews (subscribing to the philosophy that if you can't day something nice ...). However, I'm hoping that by doing so now it might help eliminate the really bad feelings that this book left with me. As stated in the heading, I found the characters in the book to be very unlikable. Initially, I thought that Rachel was sexy and fun (in an obviously bad way), but the character became stupid and then just mean. The husband and Truth characters were unlikable throughout, especially Truth. The author tried to justify Rachel's treatment of the husband by telling us that this is what the husband wanted. I didn't buy that. I want to close by saying that I have read most of this author's books and liked them all - and developed a great fondness for her female lead characters. But this one almost made be regret ever liking Maggie, Jess, and Nia.

This novel has already received several insightful reviews with which I am in essential agreement; hence, no need for repetition. It is a tale that has suspense and, indeed, thrills not all of which concern sex. Very well constructed and written, it keeps one’s attention so well that one must beware of beginning to believe that somehow these characters have more than a fictional existence. I will admit that on first reading I was dismayed at the end when the heroine suddenly displayed a backbone and predicted to her husband that she would dictate future scenarios with the biker Truth. Considering her rather pliant behavior earlier and Truth’s scary behavior (it’s a thriller), I found that hard to believe. Subsequent reflection brought the realization that I just hadn’t picked up on earlier signs of this backbone, e.g., her successful struggle to regain health after nearly losing her leg in an accident, and that the appearance of being totally under the influence of Truth was permitted rather than forced. In short, this is an entertaining rollicking tale in the genre in which it is written.

It's great to see KT playing with the kinds of relationships in the bull-husband-wife triad from one story to another. You can tell she challenges herself to avoid rehashing the same interpersonal dynamics. This story trades in a few problematic racial stereotypes. The bull Truth speaks like a gangster, but his confidence is thankfully not portrayed in a way that belittles his intelligence(and such a great nickname for his not so little truth-ahem :). His boastful predictions about his sexual prowess border on prophetic. Fans of interracial erotica will appreciate how memorable he is and that he takes charge in the bedroom in a way that involves the husband. At times he acts like a marriage counselor in the climactic scene. The story opens up with a great glory hole scene as well. Finally, I appreciate how KT gave the hotwife a scar and limp from a car accident that really shapes her characterization.

Excellent build up and finale except for the end that is somewhat disappointing. The wife cheating behind the husband's back with her thug lover and the husband getting to know from the lover. The successful husband being drawn into the affair as a submissive cuckold is kind of disappointing. It seldom happens that way even though he may be sold on the idea of his wife having an affair. Instead the lover could have kept the husband informed but not allowed him to intervene as the wife was being led to greater heights of debauchery though glory holes, strip shows and ultimately into the world's oldest profession. Will eagerly wait for your next story.

I really like the way KT writes. KT can put you in a room, and the swamp. Dialog in the book is great, you will find yourself adding accents to what is being said. I'm guessing a third of the book covers a 2 to 3 hour F#$% session - you really get a ton of emotion - good and bad. As with some of KT's other books, I sometimes take pause because of possible "destruction" that may come about because of one of the characters actions. I hope "Truth" becomes a series, as I fell in love with the characters - KT has a way of doing that.

This was a pretty good story in the hotwife genre; sexy, suprising, interesting and keeping you guessing as to how things will end. I didn't somehow get invested in this story like I have in others of this author but it was worth a read.

A great story, extremely well written as always. For KT this is a short story, and as is the wont of many "short" stories this one has a twist... a vicious twist! I've read it three times and it never fails to squeeze all the right psychosomatic buttons. I heartily recommend it... Rachel is one of the author's coldest (or do I mean coolest female) leads... all the characters are given the KT touch. Ironically, this book does not enter my top three of this excellent writer's books, but believe me it wears ten league boots and bounds far ahead of the herd that lazily grazes the pastures of this lush erotic field.
