SO FAR I'M ALREADY DISAPPOINTED. failed initial add to app, now I can't figure out how to get it into FLASH FAST modeNEGATIVE REVIEW STAYS UNTIL SOMEONE REPLIES. included instructions are junk. crappy instructions found out hold - key for 20 seconds (NO WHERE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS) now I've added it to the device and it says it's controlling the FAN BUT IT IS NOT. LIGHT WORKS FINE BUT FAN FUNCTION IS ALWAYS ON. THIS DEVICE IS JUNK. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. SAVE YOUR STRESS LEVEL

I've been needing a WiFi switch for my 2 fan/lights in my house for a couple of years. These showed up on the market (they seem to be under several brand names but are the same switch) in spring 2019 and I purchased 2. They work pretty much as advertised. A few specifics...- Easy to install. Took me about 5 minutes. (Note, I'm now used to installing these types of switches).- Wifi setup is actually smarter and faster than some wifi switches made by other companies.- As usual with Smart Life products, documentation is not particularly good.- As described, the light switch is on/off, no dimmer.- Unless I missed something on the setup, I can control the fan and light through Alexa voice, but cannot control it through Alexa app (no on/off button appears on the app for the fan or light). To control the fan/light through an app, I have to use the Smart Life app. (This is why I'm only giving 4 stars).- Note, while the Smart Life app treats the fan/light as a single device. It shows up as 2 devices in the Alexa app.

Pairing is a little cumbersome. For whatever reason, all the devices I've tried to pair will not connect until I change them to AP Mode. There are no instructions on how to do this with the switch...if you need to change the fast blinking mode to slow blinking mode, hold the lowe fan speed button for about 20 seconds. After that, it connected easily and linked to the smartlife app. I also connected it to my google home app and it works easily. 100% recommend this switch.

Had these installed today on my new covered patio and couldn’t be happier. There were not many options for Alexa to control both a ceiling fan and light. The app allows you to control both separately. The screen shot doesn’t show it but when the fan is on the icon spins and it spins faster the higher the fan speed which is a nice touch. Needed 2 single boxes as the pair would not fit in a dual gang box. Have not added them to Alexa yet but via the app I am very satisfied. The buttons via the glass plate are soft touch and light up. Some may not like this as they do not respond (feedback) when pressed but I think it is a nice streamline look. You can easily look at the fan to determine if the light or blades responded. If you have the wiring for it or if it is a new installation I would highly recommend these. My electrician noted they do not have any marking notating if they are rated for damp install so I may be taking a chance. Will update if I run into any issues in the future.

The headline says it all. I returned it and replaced it with these:Hampton-Bay-Universal-Wink-Enabled-White-Ceiling-Fan-Premier-Remote-ControlandHampton-Bay-Universal-Ceiling-Fan-Wireless-Wall-Switch-68109You could go with just the first one, but I wanted something in the wall. No hum and works as planned.

Setup was a breeze and it synced with TuyaSmart without issue. I had just installed a new Hunter ceiling fan in the bedroom and wanted to set timers using this switch. The problem with this switch is when the fan is on any setting other than high the fan emits a hum. That does not happen with the remote unit that came with the fan. I really wanted this to work but we can't stand the constant hum when using this switch and don't want to leave the fan on high.

Do not buy i purchase 2 and the fan part of remote will only stay on high speed will not change to low or med . This device worked ok for one week then went bad, Do not use this seller contacted to get returned and replaced did not respond!!!!!!

I wish they would have given the option for dimmerIt looks fabulous when installed but my only complaint is it has no dimmer and it sometimes doesn’t go well with the app
