I love this series. It's not the usual hero story. Historic, medieval inspired. What I love the most about this story is the way the characters act on what they believe. Right or wrong, good or evil. It's not black and white. This story is right in the shades of grey. Good people can do bad things for the right reason and that is exactly what the hero is.The order of this series is 0,1,2,etc. Vol 0 is actually the first one. I binge read the first 4 vol in one sitting. Have read the story over and over and still find it entertaining. I just really love it.

This manga is awesome. I watch reviews online of other manga and nobody seems to be discussing or checking for this series and it's a travesty. It's on part The Crow one part Berserk all parts awesome. I can't get enough.

The story of Übel Blatt takes place in a medieval, fantasy-like landscape. It follows the steps of Koinzell, who appears to be nothing more than a mere half-human child most distinguishable for the scar over his left eye. He is on a quest of revenge against those who betrayed and killed him and now call themselves the seven heroes of the land.

The story in this volume is very driven, at times the sense of urgency and tension can be truly felt as the main character continues his quest for revenge. For those looking for a good read take note, the series starts with Vol. 0.

I love my anime dark, like, Berserk dark. This series is filling a hole that I have had since finishing Berserk for a while now. Can't wait to see how this plays out.
