but have found Saf Levure the best for our purpose
Yeast arrived in time for our traditional bake at the Jersey Heritage Cider Festival, when we will bake in the region of 300 traditional cabbage loaves in a wood fired brick oven. We have tried several yeasts, but have found Saf Levure the best for our purpose. Consistent results, good packaging, and stores well, not to mention excellent price. Go for it!

Don't use over 2 level teaspoons or your bread will smell like draught beer
Not the same as the SAF in American bread machine recipes. You need to dissolve this one in warm water and honey/sugar, let it sit for 10 mins then add flour and finally salt to bread machine and it will work wonders. If you don't dissolve in water first, the bread will be a tough enough brick to to pave your driveway with. Don't use over 2 level teaspoons or your bread will smell like draught beer!
