I bought this Milliard Tri Folding Memory Foam Mattress with Washable Cover Queen (78 inches x 58 inches x 6 inches) so my adult son and his girlfriend wouldn't have to sleep on an air mattress while they are staying with us for a while. There was no noticeable odor when we opened the mattress, which is good for me because I am sensitive to smells. It took about 2 days to get to it's full fluff as expected. I haven't slept on the mattress, but I laid on in for a little while and it seemed comfy to me. I like how it folds up out of the way. :) My son and his girlfriend have been using the mattress for a little over a week now and they haven't complained. They started out with the mattress on our laminate floor. Before I bought this, I had read some comments about feeling the gaps between the sections of the mattress, so I asked them about it. They said if you have a smooth floor you may notice the mattress slipping and pulling apart so the gaps are more noticeable. My son and his girlfriend noticed it a little at first, but they got used to it and didn't notice it after they had been laying on it a while. They also noticed that if the mattress is on top of something that isn't slippery, like maybe carpet or in their case the suade-like top of an air mattress, the mattress won't slip apart as much. My son's girlfriend said the mattress is comfy, however she felt a little like she sank into it and could tell she was close to the floor when it was on the floor. My son thinks the mattress is comfy as well. They both like the mattress better on top of a raised queen air mattress, just for height since we don't have a bed frame, but they also both agreed it is better to sleep on this folding mattress long term than on just an air mattress. So far, this purchase has been well worth the cost, as it is serving its purpose well. My son is working from home and this is perfect for two adults to sleep on at night, then he can fold it away so he can use the space for his office during the day. :) I also bought a Milliard Carry Case for Tri-Fold Mattress, Fits up to 6 inch Queen (58 inches x 26 inches x 18 inches) storage bag to go along with this mattress but I haven't opened it to review it at this time. I will try to give an update when I do. I like the idea of being able to put the mattress away when not in use and having it protected from getting dusty. :) I hope this helps. Update 9/12/20 - The mattress case fits perfectly and is easy to use. It is easy to open up all the way then fold the mattress and set it on top and zip the cover. You can even keep a basic mattress cover on the mattress when storing it away. My 78 year old mom slept on the folding mattress on top of a raised air mattress so it would be easier for her to get on and off the bed. It worked really well and she said it was comfortable for her. I would recommend this mattress and case to others. Thank you.

I had more trouble moving the topper for this mattress than the actual mattress. I was moving and I simply folded this mattress up and shoved it in the back seat of my regular four door Sudan. I had to smush it a bit to get the door to close. But I was amazed. The mattress is almost as impressive as a regular tempurpedic. Although I have been using it now without the topper directly on the floor (for now) and I notice the breaks in the mattress. But if I had it on top of a box spring or something of the sort I think I would not notice it is foldable. A few days ago I realized I could fold up the mattress and use it comfortably as a sofa. I ordered a triangular “headboard pillow for queen bed”. I will not even need any kind of futon frame for it. I would just fold the mattress with fitted sheet on and throw the quilt over it. Then set the headboard pillow on top of it and it should be the perfect sofa! I sat on the folded mattress and it feels great to sit on. All it needs is the back rest. Which is the triangular headboard pillow. I also ordered an 18 inch height foldable metal frame IN WHITE from eBay since Amazon does not seem to have a good selection on WHITE foldable metal frames. I need a high bed because I have a parrot that sleeps in the room with me and if my bed is close to the floor, she will get all her food all over my bed because she is a messy eater. One major selling point of this mattress is that it has some sort of guarantee that it does not have hazardous chemicals. I get tachycardia when I am exposed to the old school flame retardant. I slept on the floor for a very long time until studies and documentaries and laws came out showing how harmful those chemicals are and how they were actually killing more people in fires and how the cigarette companies had been the ones that came up with the enforcement on these chemicals in order to blame furniture and not cigarettes for household fires. I can certify that this mattress does not have flame retardant as my heart would have been giving me trouble by now if it had those harmful chemicals. Additionally, I was able to save a lot of $$ not having to get moving van to move my mattress. Therefore, the extra price for being foldable has already paid off! I want to get the carrying case for it now. Finally, it appears I don’t snore as much with this mattress and I am able to do without the sleep apnea machine. That thing drives me nuts, so I am very happy I am not waking up constantly because I’m not breathing/snoring. I have a very large chest (I’m a K cup) and I can sleep on my back or on my stomach on this bed without having common problems I have with most regular beds such as spring mattresses. Normally the weight makes my back sink in deeper in the middle back if I’m on my back. And if I am on my stomach the mattress doesn’t sink far enough to accommodate my chest. This mattress very comfortably accommodates all scenarios. If I could ask for anything is for it to be an inch thicker and be a little more firmer. But do note, this is a firm mattress I bought. I like firm. I slept on the floor for years, to give you perspective. If you are someone that likes soft, I’m not a good reference point.

I cannot sing enough praises for both the quality and comfort of the mattress, but also for the company itself. My Mom (who is almost 80) came for a visit with her friend. I ordered the mattress late, having just gotten over covid I wasn't even sure if I'd be ok by the time they were to come so everything was on pause, and the order went in late. I ordered this because though I do have a cot I did not think it was going to be comfortable enough for my Mom and because she was not able to get upstairs to the guest bedroom she had to stay downstairs. The company immediately shipped right out, which I so appreciate, and though the mattress did not arrive the day they got here it DID arrive exactly the day it noted on the order sheet, and they tried to get it here as fast as possible. My Mom slept (or rather didn't sleep) on the cot the first night, was not very comfortable for her. This mattress showed up the next night, I set it on the sofa/coffee table square, which was exactly the width of the mattress, and two chairs for the end support, sounds awkward but I didn't want her to have to get down on the floor. I also ordered the fitted sheet, fits like a glove and well made, also ordered the storage case for the XL mattress, fits like a glove and no dog hair or dust getting on it. Back to the comfort.. so I set the mattress up for my Mom, it was about normal bed level, I laid on it myself to test, felt like a dream, got it ready, my Mom got on it and told me it was SO comfortable she thinks she was asleep before I even got upstairs!! She did not toss and turn at all because it held her so comfortably, making this daughter SO happy because it was my Mom's first time at my new house and I wanted her trip to be great. She slept on the mattress the next 2 nights she was here, slept like a baby each time. The tri-fold is not noticeable at all, did not separate, was absolutely PERFECT, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat! I will be taking this mattress, instead of my cot, to my Mom's if I bring a friend along. Also seems like it will work perfectly in the back of my Honda in case I'd like to put down a seat and camp in comfort going cross country. I am utterly thrilled with the quality, comfort, and company behind this mattress. I would give 100 stars if I could, so happy for reading reviews and making the right choice. (Overview) I hate regular mattresses as it takes two people to safely move them, as well takes up so much space. I wanted something I could easily break down on my own, that also has the optional carry cover. This mattress fits the bill flawlessly and I was able to fold it up on my own in a matter of minutes. It does not weigh too heavy, so it can be picked up easily if using the carry cover. (+2 Stars) (Comfort) The mattress is very soft, but not too soft that it hurts your back. It has its own unique firmness to it that cradles you. It is so unbelievably comfortable in the 6" inch, not sure if it would be the same with the 4" inch. I'd say it is definitely worth the extra cost. ( +2 Stars) (Cover) The cover adds an extra softness, washing the cover is a little complicated in regards to the directions. On the paper slip, it states to wash the cover on gentle, cold cycle and hang dry, do not tumble dry. The mattress cover tag directions state to wash cold on normal cycle and dry cycle on low heat. The results of following the tag, lead to having slight melts in the mesh part and cotton snags. Hang drying was complicated, because the cover that hung over night was still damp the next morning. It is still usable, but I think the directions could be more clear on how to wash the cover. (-1 Star)

Only had it for 1 day - but out of the box - it expanded quickly, is firm but VERY comfortable. I was worried that the folds would be in a bad spot (shoulder or hip) and make it noticeable - but nope - folds are located so that you never feel them. I was tired of buying blow up mattresses that don't last the first nights sleep - this seems like it is going to solve that problem. I now have a comfortable guest bed that I don't have to worry about. Tip - Buy the storage bag for it - you can keep it clean in between uses.

I recently purchased the Milliard Trifold, Twin XL Size mattress from Amazon. The mattress arrived on the indicated date and was in an air-tight rolled up package. Instructions on the package suggested unrolling the mattress and allowing it to air out so any odors can evaporate while the mattress configures to its intended size. I selected the 6 inch memory foam size with the washable cover. However the tri-fold mattress comes in a variety of sizes and in both the 4 and 6 inch memory foam width. The exact size of the XL mattress is 78" x 38", making it suitable for children and adults. I had previously bought a Millard mattress for camping in my SUV and knew that the Millard brand was a quality product. I am using this mattress downstairs for visiting guests. For most of my life I have had issues with L4 L5 discs which are bulging. I wanted to car camp while visiting friends, in Maine, and took a chance on this mattress. No complaints what so ever! It is on the firm side but I have a temper pedic and found this to be more comfortable. I purchased this used and saved a lot of money and when it arrived it had not been released from it's vacuum seal so I'm not even sure if it was used. Recommended time for it to rise, after removing it from its vacuum seal is 4 days. I considered waiting until getting to my destination to unseal it, however, I was worried I would over pack and not consider the room it would eventually take up inside of my car. I was also only going to be away for 5 days. So, I removed it from it's seal way before my trip and noticed it was good to go within a day or two. I also purchased the protective case for it for storage and transport purposes. I have a 2019 Forester Sport which has a wider opening in the back. The mattress does take up a significant amount of room so I had to then carefully consider what I needed to bring with me for my trip. Set up is simple. I just removed it from the protective case (again, purchased separately) and spread it out with the two sections that are close together where my torso and rear end would be. Why is this important? The mattress comes with a stretchy/removable cover that has been split into 3 sections. Two sections stay together. That's where your torso and rear end should be. If you toss and turn that third section can separate a little bit but enough to be uncomfortable. I also took with me a fitted twin size sheet which I believe helped to keep everything together. You can find cot size sheets but they are super expensive. The protective cover is made by Milliard and I highly recommend. It has carrying handles which make it easy to transport as it is on the heavy side. I was going to give this to my brother for his B & B. However, I'm going to hold on to it as I have been using it on hot summer day's when it is too hot to sleep on my second floor.

I got the Twin XL 6". I recently took it on a car trip to visit family. Being 6" thick, it is super big, even when folded up in the back of the car. It was easy to lay out on a relative's floor and super easy to fold up in the daytime so that it was not taking over the living room. Even being a hassle to transport, I would buy this again. It was so comfortable. I am 5'10", 200 lbs, and a side sleeper. This mattress gave lots of support and cushion. Hopefully it will wear well.

I'm quite happy with this purchase, and my guests are also very happy with them! They think it's way more comfortable than the hotel mattress!

I was interested in this mattress for a number of reasons: 1. I had just moved out, far away and needed a bed. Something inexpensive, but quality (sounds too good to be true, right?) I wasn't sure what kind of bed I wanted yet, but since I hadn't found a place yet and was staying with a friend who lived in a bachelors suite, I decided that something more "portable" would be convenient, especially because... 2. I was a temporary guest and didn't know how many places I'd be staying in until I found my own place. I needed a bed that could be moved around, and for that, a standard mattress is just not going to work. The folding aspect was also appealing since... 3. I would need a guest bed when I got my own place. This bed was meant to be temporary for me until I got a larger one. Something that could be tucked away was important, but so was comfort, because... 4. Everyone in my family who would be staying with me has back problems, including me. Especially my mom. Finding something that was also comfortable enough for my mom's bad back was very important, since she would be visiting often and her health is obviously important. I got exactly what I wanted and needed, and I was very pleased with my purchase. I haven't had any guests over yet to try it out, but the friend I was staying with was renting a furnished apartment and her bed was absolute garbage. She has very little money and also needed something inexpensive, but quality. When she tried my new bed she was very impressed. She hasn't gotten one yet since she has no money, but I believe it's one of the things she's saving for. An unexpected but welcomed surprise was that I discovered that this bed (I have the twin) is longer then the standard twin mattress. Despite thinking that finding sheets that would fit would be harder (which turned out to not be true) I was pleasantly surprised by this. I don't remember reading that it was a Twin XL but I'm glad it is- it makes it so much more comfortable when you can stretch out and not dangle off the edge. One downfall: While this mattress is good for a guest bed and dragging it in the closet/under your bed, it is pretty awkward to transport if your taking it out of the house. I imagine the carry case (which is ridiculously expensive) makes it much easier, partially because you're not worried about putting it down on the dirty floor. But without it, it's bulky and there's no good place to grab and hold onto it. Because of this awkwardness it also causes it to feel heavier when moving. When carrying it up to my new place, I actually asked my friend to come over to help me with it. Also, this is a minor concern since it is temporary, but the gassing did give me quite a headache. I am prone to getting headaches easily, so if you are sensitive to this then you will want to let the mattress air out in another room for a couple weeks before you use it. All in all, this is a good quality product, and I would definitely recommend it to others. \I've been sleeping in this bed for 3 months now and I have no complaints; I'm even considering getting the larger version for my bedroom.

Arrived and used out of the box within a couple of hours while visiting. Very comfortable even for a heavier person. If using directly onto floor you do not touch the floor while on it, even when standing on it. It's been used every night since unbound a couple days ago. Sound sleep. Supportive, no aches and pains when getting up. Ive ordered a bottom sheet for a 6 inch thick cot mattress. I prefer to have an actual sheet on it although it's mattress cover is very nice texture and keeps you from overheating (which happens with a lot of memory foam sleep surfaces). I do wish it had come with a nylon storage and carry bag for this price. I think it was well worth the money as I prefer this over an air mattress. It's certainly not compact but easily moved or stored.
