Easy to use. Cleared our external kitchen drain which is prone to blocking in under 10 mins start to finish. Build quality seems fine, I’m not sure how many uses it will last for but for the price I really can’t complain. Only used 4 rods with the claw attachment so far.

I bought these drain rods to unblock a blocked sewer drain on my property. I am not a drain expert just a have-a-go guy. The cost to have a professional drain company to come out was £100, plus extras to do the job depending on how long it would take. So after reading and watching online videos I thought I would buy these rods and have-a-go. The quality is average at best and they would not be of any use to someone who is going to use them everyday. However, for my purposes they were fine, they worked well and I saved hundreds of pounds by having-a-go and unblocking the drain myself.

Really sturdy and would I recommend buying this.

Well worth the money, I was able to unblock an old garden gully with it twice! The rods are fairly stiff (at least they won't break easily) so I decided to fold one of them at a few places to create a gradual bend. The plunger & cork attachments both work as should.

Poor quality, they flex too much in the drains so do not work very well… you get what you pay for!!!

They got the job done, but not before 3 rods snapped away from the screw thread. So I would say these are almost 1 use only and not long term durable.

After years of my drains blocking and having to get the water company out to unblock them I picked these up last year. Sure enough the drains blocked once again today so I got to give them a go. I'm quite impressed for the money. I got the drain unblocked with the plunger attachment and it seems to have survived the experience with no issues. Regarding the comments around durability, the screw in connectors do feel a little loose but I made sure to rotate the rods as I went so that they stayed tight in use. The only other negative was it was quite hard to get the first rod with the plunger on it to bend enough to get into the pipe, but once in all was good. All in all a really handy tool to have in the garage!
