I ordered 5 of the size 2 AppleCheeks. I really really want to love these diapers. They are Canadian made, very cute and the company that makes them is quite cool and started/run by a couple of moms! Maybe it is only since my baby is still only around 21 pounds and so is close to the beginning of the weight range for the size 2s. But they are pretty bulky on her, especially between the legs and the rise is high at the back...sticks out of her pants! I also have a set of Sunbaby pocket diapers in size 2 to compare. I hate to admit that I like the Sunbaby diapers better! It kind of hurts to say this because they were literally around 1/3 the price of these and are made in China! But the Sunbabys seem well made too and honestly fit my little girl better than the AppleCheeks. I hope this is just because my daughter is not quite big enough for them yet! Other than the fit, they have not leaked for us and we are using the company's new Stay Dry Microterry inserts. I like the inserts...they are fairly trim and fit nicely into the pockets. However I would be willing to guess that these inserts would NOT be good for the size 1 diapers. They are quite long and fit perfectly into the size 2s. I can't imagine being able to fit them into a smaller diaper without folding them in half! And this would make them way too bulky. Just be aware if you are buying size 1s for a young baby...better to go with another type of insert in my opinion. In all the AppleCheeks diapers are beautiful...I totally hate covering them up with clothes so I cant wait for summer when she can just run around in a diaper and t-shirt! :) But I find the Size 2s bulky for a 20-22 pound baby...hopefully these will become my favourites when she is larger and then the high price will be justified! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ awesome color & great diaper just wish the rise was taller. *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2016* My son is an 18 month old preemie. He dosnt look like a preemie. He is now 29lbs. I have been searching for bigger cloth diapers for a wile since he is not close to showing signs of being ready for potty learning yet and ive been noticing some of the diapers in our rotation are getting small. Mainly in the rise. Such as our fitted cheeky cloth and bumgenious. So i purchased the apple cheeks size 2 and size 3 due to the positive reviews and because they are made in canada and im a canadian living in the usa. So i enjoy supporting canadian company's when i can. The size 2 apple cheeks fits my son like a side between our bum genious and our alvas. Very similar fit to the gmd brown edge. I think. They are not as big as i thought they would be. The bright neon color is lovely but i was really hoping for a taller rise and a stiffer hold. They are quite floppy and sometimes the ruffling (thats totally cute) gets damp from my heavy wetter and dampens his clothing. I like where the pocket to stuff is located and it makes it easier to stuff for sure. Im not sure if they fit so low or tight because my sons a thick and stocky boy or because i stuff them with a thick prefold. I may try them with other liners and see. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fit with adjustable sizing but the inserts don't fit as well for the Size 2 diapers *by S***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2014* I wanted the flexibility of a pocket style diaper so that we could add layers during naps and at night for our heavy wetter. Applecheeks are snug fitting and the two size system does seem to help make sure that there is a slim fit. They also come in an array of very cute colors and prints.If buying an initial set, The Green Nursery has the best price, so we bought a dozen Size 1 diapers there. But the one size inserts made it possible to just order the Size 2 covers on Amazon, which had a better variety of cute colors.The Size 2 diapers are significantly bigger than the Size 1, so the inserts don't cover the entire surface area. One has to sort of decide whether to leave a bit of gap in front or in the back, and no amount of stretching it out fills out the sides. This wouldn't be so bad except that even when you pull it all the way front, the insert still tends to slide back if you don't keep a tight grip on it. For boys especially, it's really important to make sure there is good protection around the tummy to prevent leaks.Even still, our son did far better in this than Thirsties or BumGenius, and it is reasonably slim underneath clothes for a cloth diaper.
