I love the design and the heavy duty construction
I love the design and the heavy duty construction, but when I got my cookbook stand there were little black sand granules in the shipping box. I realized when I picked it up that the sand was trickling out of one of the arms of the cookbook stand and getting everywhere. Once I was able to shake all the sand out of it, I was very happy with the product.

Collapses when bumped
This cookbook stand collapses pretty easily when bumped, but that is a big deal. I love having a cookbook stand in my kitchen. I even use it to hold my iPad when facetiming my sister while I cook. It is attractive, and I like that it has the heavy chains to hold the pages down.

Awesome cookbook holder!
This cookbook stand is awesome! Sturdy and beautiful dark brown, wrought iron color. I have a very large cookbook—closed it measures 2.5 inches. I did t want to leave it open, but display it closed. The cover speaks for itself! I Had a very hard time finding a cookbook stand with a large shelf that could accomplish that, but I finally found this one! I love it. Well worth the price.

The chain links stuck together and were very stiff.
The chains with the little weights were lacking in quality. The chain links were all stuck together and are very stiff when/if we got them loose, and they don't really do their job. That aside, the product as a whole looks beautiful in the kitchen. We use those two pieces for more of a bookmark.

Sturdy, practical, yet stylish - used to display my scrapbooks!
I realize that this stand is meant for holding cookbooks, but when I saw it I knew it would fit the bill for something else. I use the Tripar Baldwin Metal Cookbook Stand for holding my scrapbook that is on display by my front door. I love it when visitors stop to peruse the pages of our family scrapbook. I originally had it laying on a table, but it didn't show up well... I wanted it to look more like a frame that could be flipped through. Wa-la, this cookbook stand was sturdy enough and deep enough to support it. I love that it has style too! If I ever want to switch and move it to the kitchen for a cookbook I know it will work beautifully (especially with the added touch of the page holders). Nice product for the price. I would order it again or as a gift.

Looks wonderful on our kitchen counter, but the tassels are useless
I love the look of this cookbook stand in our kitchen. However, the little metal tassels with the balls do not hold down pages of any normal cookbook. Only very thin, very worn in cookbooks can be held down. Any hardcover or new cookbook with tight pages will push those things out of the way.

All around winner.
I LOVE this cookbook holder. I have binders with my recipes in them so I'm usually pulling out the single sheet. I have used a couple actual books with this. The holder balls aren't too heavy but with strategic placement, they do their job. It holds the binders well also.It is very sturdy. It folds, but because of the base it obviously doesn't fold flat as a piece of paper. Stores easily.I needed an easel to display a 22"x24" framed picture and I was worried this wouldn't be stable enough to hold it. Well, I was wrong. This stand held that picture for three straight days on display and never wobbled. Now it's back to holding recipes.I would definitely recommend this stand to everyone. It's functional, it's pretty, it's within budget.

you must not have a new cookbook! the pages ...
you must not have a new cookbook! the pages don't stay open with the balls.the balls would need to be "paper weights"...should have a lip or something to assist the book to remain open.
