Alovitox Guarana Seed Powder Extract: USDA Organic, 65mg Caffeine/Serving

This powder is wonderful! I mix it in with a little jar of water or orange juice before working out and it gives me the perfect boost of energy with no crash. It does not make me feel anxious or make my heart beat fast like coffee and the caffeine high last much longer, would not recommend drinking 6 hours before bed that's for sure! The taste is not a big deal for me, it's a little bitter but very subtle and it's hard to taste when mixed with juice. I like to mix it with water when fasting in the morning and its fine. I highly recommend it and will definitely be using this over coffee from now on, especially given all the useful health benefits such as its antioxidant properties!

I’ve used a lot of different guarana seed powders over the years and this is the best I’ve ever had. The flavor of all guarana powders isn’t amazing but Alovitox is more palatable than others I’ve had. It’s great that it’s usda organic. And it works. The effect is obvious. Long-lasting energy without jitters or crash. If you’re looking for help studying? This is your friend. Want an extra boost for your workouts and long distance cardio? This is your friend. Need help with appetite and boosting metabolism? This is your friend. You won’t be disappointed in this one!

Guarana is one of the best sources of good, clean caffeine. I can get under 100mg of caffeine from this and feel like I used to feel on energy drinks with triple the caffeine (not to mention all the other junk). It tastes kind of like matcha if you are into that. Sure the flavor is rough, it is not a drink powder, it is pulverized seeds. Add it to a smoothie or yogurt if you want to bypass it entirely. Otherwise, I find if you steep it in hot water for 2 mins, then filter out the largest bits, and add some agave nectar for sweetness, it ends up being a decent tea.

UPDATE: I do not usually write reviews, much like I do not usually read reviews - not knowing what review are real, honest reviews. Anyway, I was persuaded to do so in this case, because I was promised some free product. So, I took away a star because of not receiving the promised product. Original review: I decided to try Guarana for two reasons. One, while I like coffee, my stomach does not always like it, so I was looking for alternatives. I had started drinking energy drinks, and I do like them, but they are not totally good for one's health, and the natural or organic ones are tooooooo expensive. In looking at the ingredients I noticed a few commonalities of most energy drinks - one of which is Guarana. So I decided to give the Alovitox brand a try as it had decent reviews. So far the Guarana powder from Alovitox has been good. It is a little chalky, and has an earthy taste and should be strained or filtered. I have had it hot and cold. I prefer to cold brew it for a day or two, and I usually mix it with other ingredients such as ginseng, maca or similar items. I like to add a little ginger for a good kick. Sometimes I add some natural sugar or honey to it, but often drink it as it is. It gives me the pep I need without having to drink coffee or so many energy drinks. I do not get the jitters that can come from drinking to much coffee. The energy lasts for a decent amout of time, and I can drink it continuously throughout the day. Overall it is a good product, that I would recommend trying. I will buy more in the future.

I purchased this guarana seed product as a replacement to the grossly overpriced Herbalife tea and the more expensive Nutricost guarana powder. Knowing it is pure ground guarana seed, I knew the flavor would be pretty bad. It does taste like dirt, a very organic acquired taste, but for me it is tolerable. The issue I have with the Alovitox guarana powder is it will not dissolve, no matter how much you mix, stir, shake or wait. I almost only drink water and any supplement or additive I consume gets mixed with water. This stuff will not, by any means dissolve. When you drink it, you need to shake it well, drink it, and then chase it with something else to remove the sand like granules left in your mouth. I am sure it probably does well when mixed into a smoothie or something thick that will suspend the ground seeds, but if your drink of choice is good old H2O, I might pass on this. However, it is ground guarana seed and it provides all the uplifting benefits of guarana, no complaints there, that is if you can deal with the grit. I have come to prefer the Nutricost brand of ground guarana. Although more expensive, it is a much finer powder that actually dissolves in water and also tastes like dirt. If I am going to drink dirt water, I prefer mine without the dirt grit and grinds. Aside from that, this stuff works as advertised.

I don't sleep well so I needed something to get me going in the morning. Tea just doesn't cut it and coffee upsets my stomach and I don't want to spend upwards of $2 a can for energy drinks (I only drink the yerba mate ones anyways). So I gave this stuff a try and wow does it give me a lot of energy throughout the day, without making me crash. I tried mixing it in my oatmeal and making a latte out of it, but its kinda grainy so it wasn't very appetizing. I also tried steeping it like tea but that didn't give me much energy. I finally tried adding it to my morning smoothie and it worked awesomely well! I only use about 1/2 tsp and its enough to give me enough energy to make it through my workday without any supplemental caffeine.

This stuff works. It just does. Forewarning, yes this stuff is bitter and gritty. I suggest throwing it in a smoothie or with juice or something and quickly bottoms up and downing it. I personally used this in a smoothie for 3 weeks now and it's amazing. For one, in a smoothie I don't taste it and two it really gives me an so day energy and clarity. I originally got this because I'm not a coffee drinker and wanted something to give me a "kick", well this has given me that and more. When it does "wear off", it's not natural versus a crash. Just feels like you day is winding down. I highly recommend.

Great stuff. Organic source of quality caffeine with lots of antioxidants, and other additional health benefits. Doesn't dissolve well in cold water. But hot water does the trick. I like to drink mine with a tyrosine supplement, to boost the effects of the caffeine.
