This rope seems to get the job done! I was worried after reading other reviews about it fraying too quickly, but there has been minimal fraying after around 8 hours of tubing on the lake with this rope, often towing 2 adults, probably around 500 pounds total. It definitely got put to work and still looks to be in good working condition.

Took out six teens age 15 through 18. Huge hit. They loved it. All six felt it improved the ride, it was a lot of fun, and all were unanimous that they didn't ever want to go on a towable again with a regular tow rope, it had to be a bungee! To be honest, I thought it was just a gimmick when I bought it. But to get six teens to all agree that it was a dramatic improvement over a regular tow rope proved me wrong. As for the durability, I bought late in the season, so it only got one day out on the lake but it was in near constant use for four hours. Only breaks were to switch riders. I hope it holds up because the kids love it.
