This essential Obi is specially made for Iaido practice. A semi-rigid core on about 7' 3" of the length gives perfect fit on the hips, and balanced hold for the sword. Both ends are without core on about 31" so various kind of knot are easy to perform. Saya (sword scabbard) slides easily in and out, and manipulation during techniques is fluid. The Obi can be washed.
