Helps keep recipe book open and clean
Got for recipe book holder, works as expected. Stays clear if you keep it clean/grease splatter should be kept away from it to not mar the surface. Wipes clean, but over time will scratch or yellow if not care taken. Good to set up on the counter while making your favorite recipes, open to the page you want and work using the book hands free.

Great book saver
This was a gift because I so loved mine. The size is good for even bigger cookbooks. The acrylic is easy to see through. Great way to protect your treasured cookbooks or your tablet.

Covers most of the page
This is working fine, and I only wish it was a bit taller & wider because some magazines I have are not full covered when spread open.

13 years - GREAT product
13 years ago (in 2011) I bought this cookbook holder to prop up and protect my cookbooks & cooking magazines while cooking. I'm not intentionally a messy cook but I hate it when spatters mar pages. This holder has done an awesome job; wipes down cleanly; is still transparent and holds big books as well as my personal 3 ring binders.

Not just for cookbooks!
I had one of these for many years and used it almost every day. When I finally dropped it one too many times, I thought I'd get a "fancier" one, but after looking at all the other options, I came back to this and bought another one. I love it! I love how wide it is so that it covers all but the largest of books and keeps them clean no matter how much I splatter. I love how easy it is to clean. And I love how there's no wooden base so you can see 100% of the page, all the way to the bottom. It's sturdy -- I've never had problems with books falling backward. Just be careful about not shoving in books that are too thick: you can break the plastic back if you push it too far. I use it whenever I cook, but I also use it for holding a book at the kitchen table when I'm eating alone - hands-free reading, it's great!
