Shiny smooth black plastic surface. Clip is strong but not too strong to lift comfortably. Because they are so shiny, they finger print easily if used by children or people with oily hands, but I’m quite dry skinned so I didn’t have this problem myself. I used these so that my little nephews could draw at our house without marking our tables/floors. They are great for family games like pictionary. I also use them myself for drawing and writing while standing, or laying on the couch. They look stylish enough to use at work or home, but cheap enough to not feel bad about abusing. Shinier than I thought they’d be but I’m okay with that!

Lightweight, Holds papers firmly

I used these to create a command center in our kitchen. We are a homeschool family who also works from home. These clipboards are a shiny black plastic with a silver clip. They hang easily on nails, and look great. Some people have complained that the shrink wrap goes below the clips. Every clipboard I have ever purchased, aside from the cheap brown press boards come this way. It is to protect the entire finish. It removes easily with a gentle hand.
