Finally!
I had stumbled across Stephen’s YouTube video - Solve the Cube in 8 steps. And thought he had an easy to understand manner. But I really wanted the algorithms so I could solve the cube from memory. So I was stoked to find this book. It works!

I was unsure how to rate this iteme.
I did no know exactly how many stars to give this item. I did not buy it for myself I purchased it for my granddaughter. Since I do not have a Rubiks Cube I did not even look at the book.

Lot’s of pictures and simple instructions even an eight year old can follow. Good book!

Find another book.
Let me start off by saying I solved this puzzle years ago, sometimes in under a minute. Using this book I have spent a couple of hours trying to complete the puzzle and have yet to do so. There are two different problems with this book.1) For his illustrations he uses isometric views of the cube in which you can see three sides of the cube. The problem is he is extremely vague on which side is front (facing you). There are no labels. Looking at it you have 2 possible sides which he could be considering "front". In one part of the book the "front" is the left side on the iso view. In another part of the book, the right side of the iso view was the "front" or side facing you. Another problem is the arrows he uses to show direction of rotation are very thin and very small. It is difficult to tell which end of the arrow is the point and which end is the tail. Yeah, you can see a problem with that.2) The method. He solves the cube in levels which is ok in and of itself. But for each level you have to memorize 3 or 4 patterns of cubes and based on each pattern you have to perform a series of moves to get cubes where you want. That is a lot of memorization. The way I learned it was single cube placement. Find a cube and determine where you want it to go. This method only required 4 memorized "moves" that you could easily remember. No patterns to try and remember on top of that with up to 4 different moves for each level.I believe this book was written either in the UK or by someone from the UK as the language, labels and thought process is "different" than what you might expect but that is just a hunch. Both my 12 year old son and I found this book hard to follow. It was a waste of money and will be going in the trash.

Nice book.
This Rubiks Cube book is fantastic for beginners. The steps in the book are broken down very good and it makes it easy for a beginner to solve the rubiks cube

Missing Step 6!
I was really excited about getting this book and learning to solve the cube with my 8 year old son. I was also happy to support someone self-publishing. We've had the book a week and already working through the first two steps! There are a few things that could make the book easier to follow, but with a little work, I've been able to help my son. However, looking ahead a few days ago I noticed that I am missing STEP 6! WHAT??? Our copy of the book jumps from Step 5 to Step 7! I'm guessing it's a misprint, but how disappointing! Not sure what to do. I would give it a higher rating but can't due to the fact that now I'm not sure if we will be able to even the cube using this book/method.

Concise, clear directions for one step at a time with practice progressions given.
#1 this very flimsy book that is difficult to lay flat is only outdone by the inane directions given at the very beginning! The last paragraph on the first page assumed a photogenic memory and that all cubes are correctly placed in gettin the U layer all white.the directions on the next page again assume prior knowledge. Going on to the next page the direction arrows are very difficult to read in which direction the arrow is going.I will get another book; but annoyed that I wasted the cost of this book. IT DOES NOT LIVE UP TO WHAT IT CLAIMS.
