I'm giving this product 5-stars because it's really good for the price. Worked fine out of the box. It has: 1. swivel 180 degree screen 2. rechargeable battery with 2 hours of headphone use 3. comes with headphones 4. comes with travel bag 5. comes in fun kid-friendly colors 6. Easy to use controls 7. Decent screen size and resolution for a little/cheap guy 8. 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime 9. Ability to add a sound system and plays jpegs, if one so desired haha 10. Not going to be upset if it gets broken by my daughter or baby because, I mentioned #7, it's a cheapo

It did the job! Yes, it is "cheaply" made, but it works well, it is easy to transport, it comes with everything I needed except the movies. The charger has a removable USB cord you can plug into any USB car charger of buying separate car chargers. The down side was that the DVD player plug-end is the old android end that tends to break easily if not cared for properly. Thankfully my kids understand that poor use means no more DVDs in the car. These are perfect for travel, the case matches the DVD player that matches the headphones, so no sibling fighting about whose is whose. And the headphones can be used with any device, not just these DVD players. The battery lasted a good 4 hours of continual use, but I didn't have to re-charge it for the kids to play on it either. I could just plug in the power cords and they were still usable! All in all, my expectations were met an exceeded. My kids are ages 8 and 10, and we used this for a 28 hour round trip road trip with vehicle sharing and swapping. Best thing is we could just unplug these and use them in another car with ease and keep all of the stuff together in 1 bag.

This was a Christmas gift. The first player did not work at all, would not even turn on. However it was easy to return and another was shipped the next day. This player worked great and my son was happy to have his new one. The player has a great picture and is easy to use. The headphones are nice. The bag to hold the player is nice, but lacks space to hold the headphones and movies to take with you. But overall we are happy.

This started out being a great player, I seen reviews concerning the player saying no disk after a few uses but I didn't have that issue. But two months after we got this it started restarting its self randomly. It would play for a few seconds, shut off and come back on only to restart the whole dvd. It doesn't keep memory of where it was ever and I didn't like that it doesn't have a car charger. What really irritated me was it decided to do the restart on a trip and needless to say that trip felt longer than it was. And it waited till I could no longer return it to mess up, there wasn't a warranty either which now has just become a $60 waste We've since purchased a different brand and it has a warranty with it but we also purchased the extended one just for good messure, it also has a longer battery life, and two chargers one of which is for the car.

We are RV traveling across the US and my husband enjoys unwinding with a good movie after long drives. Getting the laptop out to watch movies was a bit of a hassle however, and the computer just took up too much room on our RV table. This little DVD player fits us just right! It is well made of a durable plastic, the sound is good, the headphones are very nice, the 9 inch screen is very clear, and its small profile fits anywhere! The carry bag is a nice addition. Sitting on our RV table, he and I both can watch movies and see the screen comfortably, and hear it well. Battery time is sufficient for one or two movies, too! We love it, would recommend it, and we are happy campers!

I just received the Ematic EPD909RD. I think it's perfect. I needed an inexpensive DVD player when I fly across the Atlantic. All I want is to place the DVD in the player and hit "play." Nothing fancy. The head set is great and will also help muffle out the sound of others in the plane. The manual says the battery is good for 3 hours - which will not play 2 DVD movies since most are 90 + minutes long. But for the price, I think this is a great deal. Oct 1 2016 UPDATE: The product is still great BUT if you are planning on using it on an airplane, the audio is not at all loud enough to hear it with headphones. Because I purchased it to use it during my travels, I am returning it. If you are going to us it in a home or car - it will work fine.

I feel like if there was a star between 3-4 it would be perfect. This item arrived promptly as expected. I needed something to entertain my daughter on a 2 hour plane ride and also, on long car rides..(we used city transportation a lot, like taxi, busses, etc) This did the trick. Volume level seems great, no complaints; We used the player mostly with headphones but occasionally we used it without headphones and we were pleased. The headphones we received with the Player work good, which was not expected so that was a plus. Reason for three stars, we used this item a total of 2 times on the trip before it decided to not work. I made sure to have it fully charged, disk was inserted correctly as well, and contained no flaws, and it did not want to work, for an entire day. That was a bummer, because we needed it to travel on that day. The following day, we were able to get it turned on and running, as if the day prior never happened. Weird.. I still can not tell you what the issue or problem was. #2: After about 3 uses after that, the only way we are able to open the place where you are suppose to put a disc (don't know what it's called) is with something pointy or sharp, we use a butter knife. I would like to add that whenever this player is being used, it is under supervision.. It may not be an iPad, but i act like it is.. so i make sure my daughter handles it with caution and is careful. Other then that the player works great. Picture is fine, and sound is as well. Only bummer is that i now have to walk around with something sharp so that we can open it.. I have thought about contacting amazon or the manufacture to see what we or they can do to fix it but haven't gotten that far. Overall good buy but maybe not worth the $60 plus. This is a really great product! I bought it for my 2 year old daughter since we didn't have a DVD player in car and I wanted something she could use without running wires throughout my car. It is really light weight so she can carry it around or place it on her lap in car. The carrying case is a great extra. It has room for some DVD's too. My daughter loves it so we use it for long trips int eh car or even around the house. You really can't beat the price. I almost bought it from Bestbuy.com but glad I checked here first as price was much lower.

Tal vez los audífonos no se oyen taaaan fuerte, pero son los audífonos, porque el sonido de él equipo es bueno aún en intemperie. La batería es durable, el equipo pareciera de juguete por el color y consistencia, pero es realmente resistente. Potabilidad es lo que he conseguido y poder ver mis pelis en cualquier lugar. Lo recomiendo

Disappointed with the headset--not very durable for children--already pulled cord out of socket. So far the machine works well.
