Immediate results, so far...
Well, I have a research background and therefore also a heavy helping of skepticism but was willing to try something to help our 15-16 year old 40 lb rescue mutt who had been showing signs of canine cognitive dysfunction over the past several weeks, and perhaps even longer without us really noticing. She paces and pants, particularly during "sundowning" hours, and at night she would wake up, pace, pant, whine, and paw frantically at her bed while turning in circles (a "nesting" behavior that she has always had but became much more pronounced and prolonged). She also started having accidents in the house, and she has always been a 100% perfectly housetrained dog. So here are the variables I changed, all in a single day: I started giving her this pill (one pill mid-morning and one pill right before bed), started adding salmon oil to her meals (twice daily), incorporated a very short down-the-block-and-back afternoon/evening walk into her regular daily routine (she has hated walks ever since we adopted her), and made a commitment to letting her out to potty more frequently. She is in very good physical health, no signs of arthritis and has maintained good muscle mass. The very first night she slept like a baby. Insert dose of heavy skepticism here. The second night she slept like a baby. So? I remain skeptical but will update if this changes. From what I can see, this has made a very big difference already. She loves the taste of the pill and takes it readily - and she is a VERY picky dog, food-wise. It has not caused any stomach upset and she has a VERY sensitive stomach. We will see...3-month update: She's still sleeping like a baby through the night and the panting and pacing has disappeared! We have not changed the dose (she gets 2 pills daily - one in the morning and one at night right before bed). She generally seems more alert and sprightly. She doesn't even bother chewing these anymore (they're actually a bit too hard to chew) but no matter...she takes them with gusto and swallows them whole! So glad we started her on these supplements!Almost-1-year update: Our now 16-17-year-old rescue mutt is still doing well and still taking this supplement. We have since added the milk thistle tablets by the same company (the combo of SAM-e + milk thistle are basically what's in the veterinary medicine Denamarin). Our vet agrees that giving our dog these supplements is a good idea. Interestingly, she also said that SAM-e either works like magic, or doesn't work at all. So, I hope that if you are trying this, you have a dog that falls into the "SAM-e works like magic" camp because this has definitely given back our dog's quality of life, and we are thrilled for her to still be with us. Also as a disclaimer, we did have to start our dog on Galliprant (prescription osteoarthritis medicine) as well, which is not surprising given her age, so that definitely also improves her quality of life. We will keep on trucking with our geriatric pup!Final 2020 update: We lost our wonderful girl at the end of June to potential liver and/or cardiac failure. She was probably between 16.5-17 years old. Interestingly she went downhill very quickly - it was like flipping a light switch - and we took her to the emergency vet and let her keep going down the Rainbow Bridge. I do not have lab value evidence that this product worked (we decided to skip bloodwork given our dog's age and anxiety levels at the vet, and knowing that even if we were to find evidence of liver failure, there would not be much we could do) but instead watched her clinical signs carefully. In her last weeks, she was probably uncomfortable but still enjoyed eating (very much!) and was very mobile and able to potty totally normally and rested easily at night. I am thankful that her decline was so sudden and dramatic - it made it "easier" for us to make a hard decision, and she did not suffer long. I can say with certainty that this supplement improved her quality of life and she took it for a full 12 months. Good girl, doggo. Love you forever.

This brought my senior Golden Retriever's liver levels down substantially! :)
Brought my dog into the vet for a routine dental cleaning and bloodwork. Unfortunately, when the bloodwork results came back her liver enzyme levels were four times what they should be. My vet recommended trying a liver supplement, putting her on Denamarin (which is essentially a vet backed/prescribed liver supplement), and/or taking her to a specialist to get an ultrasound of her liver and kidneys done. I called the specialist to get a quote for how much the ultrasound would be and was unable to afford it, so I looked for the next best thing. I researched the ingredients and differences between Denamarin and over the counter liver supplements to try for her and found these Coco and Luna chewable tabs. The Coco and Luna supplements (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine + Milk Thistle) are much more affordable for me than Denamarin and work just as well.My baby girl is not super picky when it comes to treats and so she takes these with ease, but loves them! She actually starts drooling haha when I am opening up the jars to pour them out for her, she loves their taste so much!I took my girl back into the vet today to recheck her bloodwork and the vet says her liver values have gone down substantially and are back within normal ranges. (As I type this, I have only been giving her these supplements for a month and a half). NOTE: My girl is 75lbs and I give her two tabs of the S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine and two tabs of the Milk Thistle once a day in the mornings = total 4 tablets per day) and they have helped her tremendously. Based on the dosages I have been giving her, these two bottles will last me two months.Thank you again! I can't say enough how appreciative I am for companies like Coco and Luna for manufacturing affordable pet care products.

Excellent product, though hard to find at Amazon.
Our elder dog needed something to boost her overall happiness & memory. Our Vet recommended SAMe, found in our drug stores, made for our livers but recent studies have shown it helps folks in the areas I was asking about. The cost was higher than I thought, so I went to Amazon. At first I couldn't locate it, logged off. Next I went to Amazon the page opened to this product, for people and one made for DOGS!This product I've bought several times for our dog, it is making her happy, her memory a little better! The price is okay & worth buying! But here is a problem for the distributor, and Amazon. When I type in all the product label information I can't find it. I only find it by going to my previous orders to click on buy again. I can't say exactly what the hiccup is, for I have typed in various ways of wording to locate the product. Wish you well in finding out why, I hope to continue buying this product as as long as our beloved dog lives.

Effective to help the liver, but hard as a rock, not really a soft chew
This product was recommended by my vet for liver issues for my Peke-a-Shitz along with Milk Thistle Oil as he wouldn't take Denamarin. It has been very effective. My complaint is that it that the last two orders the "soft chew" tablets have been rock-hard. I break it up into his food, but it is almost too hard for me to do that anymore. Seems the first time I ordered, when it was really chewable, it was fresh, now they seem dried out and old. If I could find a softer chew that offered the same support, I would change.

Do not buy
This is a horrible smelling product. Tried to disguise the smell by putting it in everything a dog would love to eat to no avail. I’m thinking that the taste is also terrible. Buy something else. A waste of money for me.

Basically it's a good product the second time I bought it like I said the only thing is it stinks
I see the difference in my dog she's 16 years old she's more playful or alert the only drawback is that it stinks and she smells it I put peanut butter on it and I had to put like like lunch meat on it hide it
