Cabinet of Natural Curiosities: The Complete Plates in Colour, 1734-1763

Big, beautiful book! It was perfect for wallpapering my powder room. It looks fantastic.

Beautiful statement/coffee table size book with lovely pages. Very nice quality. Arrived quickly and was in exact condition stated with great packaging!

i own the outrageously gorgeous jumbo version of this book, so it's hard to be as impressed by this smaller version. even so, it is impressive on its, with lots of full page color plates.if you want frame-worthy prints, the larger  Albertus Seba's Cabinet of Natural Curiosities (Jumbo)  version is far superior. but this edition is a great reference book.

I had been searching for a reasonably priced "Cabinet of Curiosities" book. This book is awesome! The plates are clear, beautifully tinted. It will be enjoyed for many years to come.

snakes, bugs, plants, birds and all manner of living creatures. It is really an overwhelming collection. Worth getting a larger coffee table.

this book has pleasantly surprised/frightened/delighted me throughout numerous stages in my life.recommend it to those with an interest in science and genuine curiosity about the world.

i saw these picture plates used as wallpaper for a bathroom. this is perfect for copying and pasting for a unique look

Lovely pictures, however I was hoping that this would be a family-friendly book to have on the coffee table. There is a double page spread that includes a drawing of a human fetus in a jar along with other unappealing drawn dead embryonic specimens. I ended up liking the rest of the book enough to keep it (and nothing else other than a weird monkey seemed bothersome). I just cut out the double spread and trashed those two pages.I would say it would be fine for teens/adults, but as is, if your young kids like to dig through your books, they may be disturbed by the dead specimen page. Just a heads up as I hadn't seen this in other reviews.

J'ai reçu un livre en version anglaise alors que je souhaitais une version Française.Bien sur après coup j'ai lu dans un coin du titre et entre parenthèse (anglais), OK donc j'ai mal lu. Néanmoins, avec une photo de l'ouvrage en anglais et clairement indiqué dans le titre je n'aurai jamais acheté. C'est une technique de vente très limite.Je signale aussi que le livre est arrivé chez moi dans un sac poubelle noir sans aucune protection. Donc avec les angles abimés. Il y a vraiment mieux comme emballage. Nul
