**Q: can it be used with an inverter**
A: Not recommended. Suggest you choose a right voltage/ country. I bought one from US and didn’t work. Finally bought another one from UK.

**Q: Can this be used as a 12v battery support for when remapping the ECU?**
A: I would say no, as the output current supplied by the charger is automatic, so if the battery is full or close to full it won't provide a high current only trickle, but it will keep a current flowing somif that all you need it.might work for a remap..worth checking some remapping forums rather than Amazon...
