I bought it on a whim as a last-minute Christmas item for my husband. I didn't know if he would use it, but he recently was stoked about his new cast iron pan. Needless to say, it is our go-to cookbook and we have made over 40 of the recipes. The recipes are FABULOUS and a modern spin on traditional recipes. 4 of our family members have bought the book because we can't stop talking about it. The recipes are restaurant-worthy! The only thing I would recommend is giving yourself more time for prepping. I feel they underestimate how much time it takes to chop and prep. Review: Not hesitant about the cast iron any more! - Great cookbook. Recipes are easy to read and easy to make. There are a ton of options! I feel like I will be be able to use this book for years before I get through them all!! Not every recipe has a picture but the pictures that are there are beautiful!! The New Go-To Cookbook
I bought this book and a cast iron for a wedding gift for two chefs and I was excited to have them try Tiffany’s delicious recipes. Every couple weeks I receive a message from one of the chefs on how much they love the cast iron meals they created together. Thank you so much for a quality book and intentional meals!

Just What I Was Searching For
My Italian-American mother (born in 1904) was a great cook & mostly used cast iron cookware. She passed on long ago & I stored the pans away. When my son became a professional chef decades later, he asked for her old cast iron skillets & has used them ever since. Lately, after moving into my partner's home (& kitchen) I discovered a large Le Creuset Dutch oven--the really expensive heavy one--and began to use it. Love it & now own three Lodge pans & one smaller Dutch oven. However, I found that my knowledge of cooking with these pots and pans needed a boost--especially since we both tend toward vegetarianism. After research I settled upon "the modern cast iron cookbook" by Tiffany La Forge & it's great. Lots of general info & a variety of great easy-to-make recipes. There are few photos of the finished dishes (hence the 4 stars), but I don't think it's especially important. Unless you've never cooked before, you can imagine how they will look. The author also has a blog called Parsnips and Pastries. The writing is fun and recipes numerous. Highly recommend this cookbook.

Must-Have Cookbook
This cookbook will change the way you feel about using your cast iron skillet, whether you’re a novice or seasoned cast iron cook. The recipes are beyond flavorful and simple. My three-year-old loves helping! Great to have at home and give as a gift.

Variety of recipes and great instructions on how to use cast iron
I have a cast iron skillet that I have only used for the occasional cornbread. So I decided to purchase this cookbook to get more use out of my cast iron skillet. And wow! I love the variety of recipes in this cookbook. Not only am I getting more use out of my cast iron skillet, but I have some fun new ideas to change up our usual routine. My husband is a huge fan of the Hawaiian Breakfast Fried Rice. And I can't wait to try the Cauliflower and Potato Curry (Aloo Gobi) and German Chocolate Skillet Cookie. All in all, this cookbook has been a great find!

So good!
I have a cookbook problem. Like an addiction. This one gets used about once a week. Most of it is amazing, I have yet to dislike anything. I do find that prep times are a bit longer than mentioned but consider it worth it! I go back to this one time and again and have found several ”make it forever” recipes. I highly suggest it!

Don’t waste your money!
Australians will find this book frustrating; American measurements, American terminology, American brands, American ingredients; etc etc. This book makes you really understand that the US is a foreign country. I gave up before getting too far into the substance of the book.

Book has no pictures...
I am very disappointed, this book hasn’t any picture at all. Some recipes seems unfinished. I’m not sure if every recipe gives a fine result. Sorry, but this book is in my opinion boring.

No photos of finished recipes
The recipes are mediocre at best and there are no photos of the dishes so you cannot gauge how they should turn out.
