## Description

Product description

Review: Great tires - I run these on my front and back here in New England. As long as there is not too much snow, I ride all year long. I'm a bigger guy 6'2" 240lbs and I ride these tubeless with Stan's sealant. Like any tire, if you go too low, the sidewall will roll. If you go to high, you sacrifice grip. I find that for me, the sweet spot is somewhere between 17 to 22psi for maximum grip, depending on the conditions. I've had them for 6 months and have ridden wet, rocky, and rooty trails at least 3 times a week. The tires have held up well.
Review: Great tire - Only a few rides so far but the improved traction is noticeable over the bontrager tires that came with my bike, particularly when leaning into turns.

## Features

- MAXXIS MINION DHF: With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it’s no wonder that the Minion DHF is one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking.
- 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
- EXO: A cut and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of many of our gravel and MTB tires. Suitable for use in a wide range of riding applications from gravel to XC to light trail duty.
- E25: Tires with an E25 rating are suitable for light duty e-bikes with assistance up to a maximum of 16.1 MPH.
- QUALITY GUARANTEE: 1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Check your part numbers
*by R***R on June 3, 2023*

Overall, this tire is fantastic. I received the 120TPI (DD), 3C compound, tubeless folding 29x2.20 version suitable for my 21mm wide internal width rims when I ordered from this listing. PROs: + fantastic grip in loose gravel, sand over hardpack, rocks, and the road + quiet smooth rolling on the road -- feels efficient + easy to inflate tubeless with a floor pump (this is a good safety feature if you need to make a trailside repair for some reason -- a compact hand pump should be able to do the job + feels very sturdy and durable + seals well to rim and no weeping of sealant through sidewalls CONs: - feels quite heavy compared to other similar size tires I've used - required wrestling with tire levers to get on my Stans Crest rim -- dish soap was required to get it to seat the beads initially without over-inflating the tire on the rim - difficult to distinguish which of the many versions you are ordering on Amazon HOT TIP: Take a look at the Maxxis website and browse the many versions of this tire: Wire vs Folding Bead, 60TPI vs 120TPI, rubber compound types, suitable for wide rims (WT) or more narrow rims, etc. Once you've identified the group of characteristics that you want based on reading all of the optional features on the Maxxis website, find the part number for the tire with those characteristics on the Maxxis website and make sure that the part number on Amazon is the same one. I then searched Amazon with that part number. This process took a while, but I'm glad I went through it and got the tire type that I was seeking.
