Just what I wanted, cheaper than the hardware store
I bought these for a custom shelf for my sewing room. I chose these because I could customize the height and depth of the shelves to fit my mini bolts of fabric. I did 10” pipes from the wall with 12” pipes vertically (except top piece is 10” verticals). I am so pleased with how it turned out. Now, I will say they came oily to prevent rusting and it easily rubbed off and made everything it touched filthy. So I soaked and scrubbed them down with dish soap, let dry, wire brushed the rust off and then sealed with a couple coats of clear rustoleum. A little extra work, but now it won’t stain my fabric. Finish is great. Would buy again.

Don't use for big projects
Great for small projects, not precise enough for large table base.I used them for a 17"x76" table top I made. Included a shelf for the bottom, and 2 small shelves above that. There are slight variations in length that add, leading to a very wobly table. I even tried to compensate by measuring all of them and matching equal lengths to each other, however there's also variation with length of threads and how deep those threads will screw, which was impossible to tell until after attaching to another pipe (as well as to tell if female or male part was responsible). This should work for symmetrical designs and small builds where stability is not at a premium. Otherwise, I'd recommend trying something else.

Can't assemble a shelf system with tight fittings
1st they are MADE IN CHINA. The threads on the pipe are half as long as other pipes you would buy in the big box stores and they are not tapered. When you screw the pipes into a fitting, they will bottom and stop turning. You won't be able to squeeze any more turning. So if you are using these to make a shelf system, you cannot get everything to be tight and lined up correctly unless you leave your fitting loose and not threaded all the way. Considering the threads are 1/2 as long as should be and have to be assembled loose, I wouldn't trust what ever was made with them. 3 stars because they are cheap and heavy. Returning...

Good quality pipe
I've been working on some Pipe Build Concepts which are the rage right now. One thing I haven't been impressed by was the quality of some of the pipe. Some have very little thread and seem to be very light-weight. I wanted something similar to what is found at the plumbing house and hardware. The Brooklyn Pipe has a good heft to it and appear to be excellent quality. Good threads on each end. Definitely will have to wipe them down before final install. Hands will get a little dirty.I like the sandblast finish as it is similar to the other brands I have bought to complete my project. Once I have it completed, I will upload a picture.

Close to perfect, but inconsistent sizing
I want to rate these higher, as the finish is great and the low threads are perfect for pipe furniture, but they are all slightly different sizes. It meant I had to pick the 4 which were closest to each other for the top and the 4 which were nest closest for the top, and unscrew some to avoid a wobbly shelf. It works, and the pipes themselves are great, but they could use a bit more quality control to ensure consistent sizing. That being said, I couldn't find any other pipe with this finish and thread count, so they still win. Would recommend overall, just know they will not be precise.

Quality Product.
Very easy to use. Sizes/lengths were consistent. Used to build a shelf my wife found on Pinterest. Minimal oils were on the product, which meant a quick wipe with mineral spirits cleaned it just fine. I kept the natural finish in tact and am hoping it will rust over time. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, price point and ease of use.

Good value, not perfect
You get what you pay for. Quality control isn't perfect, with some ends threaded more/less than others and lengths slightly off. With enough redundancies (e.g., the countertop sorry I used them for), it works, but I'd be weary of relying on a handful if precision is a must, or at least line them up and try to match odd lengthed ones before assembling so you can adjust accordingly. Also, like other reviewers have said, your hands with have the same finish as the pipes for a few days.

Don’t lie to us
If a product says “it has no grease,” then I expect there to be no grease... meaning I shouldn’t have to wear disposable gloves to handle them. And yet, after 10 minutes of putting together the piping and fittings, my hands were coated in almost as much grease as if I was working on my car... that’s real fun being lied to...Honestly, that’s the only negative about these. The pipes are SUPER durable, made well, fit properly, and look great... and if they came as advertised about the grease, they’d get 5 stars.PS: it’s not just the pipes that had grease, but all the other parts I had ordered from them as well.

Measure actual pipes + fitting before finalising design
The sandblast finish on these looks great but the pipes unfortunately need cleaning before use (they didn't come grease free as advertised). Also, small imperfections in the thread of the pipes means that when screwed into flanges (of the same brand) as far as they will go, the difference in lengths between the longest and shortest was about 7mm. This isnt a show stopper for shelving use etc as you can dial them all out to the longest piece but needs to be factored in to measurements. E.g. 40cm pipes with a flange on each end measure between 40.8 - 41.5 cm.

Not good!
Completely uneven screw section not able to screw in the T-bar, elbow or flange.

They perfect for what I wanted
Used them to make a shoe rack . Pleased with them.

Watch out they’re oily.
This is a positive review for the Brooklyn pipes. They are well designed and built but please be aware they do come with an oily layer so please be aware. This is to prevent the pipes from rusting during storage.
