GREAT set of braces. A++ for comfort and doing what they're supposed to.
First, let me explain - I am starting to get numbness in my hands (both sides) from nerve compression. I don't have pain at least, but I'm losing feeling. Around the same time I'm beginning to realize what's going on, Amazon offered me this package for free (in exchange for an unbiased review) so I jumped at the chance to try them. Have had numbness for over a month now starting in just my pinky and ring finger on both sides, then spreading slowly out to my whole hand. Just finally got in to see a Dr. today (Tuesday), but was using the wrist braces since Thursday.I figured, for one thing, that since it's both my left and right hands it would be a good experiment to see if this helped as I was only offered the set for the right hand. So I'll tell you my results at the end.But first: I really like that there are two types of brace here. First, let me say that both are very comfortable. I LOVE the fabric(s) these are made of - it stays dry and soft against your hand and feels clean and stable. It doesn't make me sweat, it doesn't pick up dust or dirt easily. And it's easy to throw in the washing machine and comes out clean. (it says to hand wash air dry, but I machine washed and then air dryed both and they're fine. There is a slot in the fabric on the inside of each that allows you to slip out the flat metal bar. Aside from that I used a mesh bag like I would fir delicates, mostly to keep the Velcro nice, and it worked fine.)Fits my (female, average to small) arm and hand well . Thumb hole could be a little larger (on both). It hits my palm when I rotate my thumb up and tugs a bit when I'm typing, but it's not very uncomfortable, so whatever.Rigid "bar" along the wrist keeps you stabilized in a comfortable position. "Day" brace leaves your fingers free so you can type or whatever. "Night" brace captures your middle two fingers and keeps your wrist that much more stable. (My fingers do sweat against each other but it's otherwise not uncomfortable).Night brace is very easy to put on and is very straight forward. No directions needed. Day brace has an inner webbing as well as a strap at the top that make it a bit more complicated - suggest looking at the pictures the first few times you put it on to get it on right.I like the night brace better actually in terms of comfort or just sitting even though I have to take off my rings on my hand to wear it comfortably, but day brace gives more freedom and is also very comfortable. If I only got one though, I'd get the night brace (especially as sometimes I sleep and mess up my wrists by how they end up while I'm sleeping cutting off blood flow and making my hand fall asleep) but you could only probably wear it at night and when mostly not using your hand during the day. Day brace is more versatile if you want one brace to do everything...but why not get both?As far as wrist stabilization WOW they do work. I never realized how much I bent my wrist for stupid stuff...like how I hold the steering wheel. And having my wrist pressing up against the bar is mildly uncomfortable at times, but not painful overall. Is it helping? YES IT IS! I'm very thrilled about this. After 5 days wearing it, there is a noticeable difference between my right and left hands in terms of the tingling and numbness. My left is still feeling fairly dead but my right is feeling only about half so bad! I saw my doctor today and she's diagnosing carpal tunnel (in both hands symmetrically?). I was not wearing the brace but she pretty quickly asked me if I'd tried one. I said yes and showed her this system. She said it looked good...and told me to go order the left one too as well as proscribing some anti-inflammatories. It seemed like a good idea, so I did.If I have more comments I will update. Should have the left one soon, thus ending my control experiment. Hope it works as well for that hand and I VERY much hope I can get it cleared up or managed entirely...it was scaring me that it was not going away and was in fact spreading. These braces seem like a good solution. So happy Amazon suggested it just when I needed it.Update 1: My left set came today and in very glad. After a week of anti-inflammatories and wearing the right braces, there is a SIGNIFICANT difference in the feeling in my hands. Right feels nearly normal except in the pinkie. Left is not much better at all. Going that wearing both braces will make it all good! Other connect is that I have a couple of times woken up with my fingers a bit sore from the night brace. It fades feast though, so I have just undone that strap when it happens and gone back to sleep.

Disappointed
Initially, the braces were a relief. After few days however, they became progressively more uncomfortable: pressing too hard at the base of the thumb to the point that now I have a full median nerve involvement in the right thumb, tingling and numbness. Also, the top steel bar on the night splint digs into my knuckles on both hands. In the morning, I feel quite a bit of pain at the pressure points. My hands and wrists are small to medium, and very bony. i do not have much muscle padding. My husband cut a large ovoid hole to accommodate both thumbs. That relieved the pressure on the thumbs. I do not understand why the thumb holes are not cut in a large eggshape. I ordered Futuro night braces that are more padded and am looking forward to get them soon, and for the daytime I got Futuro energizing braces 48400 for the right and 48401 for the left. They also come in two sizes, which is helpful. I put them on in the drug store and my hands thanked me instantly.Getting the right kind of brace and right fit is of essence. I think the Palo Medical braces are not bad for the right kind of hand. they are not for mine, unfortunately. These braces just did not work for me as I had hoped.

Works well
Well made. The concept of the cold pack sounds nice, but its so small that it heats up quickly and with only one you have to wait until it refreezes. I really like the oversleeve mostly because it keeps the velcro tabs laying flat (on my previous device from another manufacturer the velcro straps eventually curled up so much that they wouldn't catch - I had to jury rig a sleeve from an old sock to hold them down.) I don't have large fingers, but the finger part of the night device is just barely large enough to go around them.

Amazing for trigger finger(s)
I have two fingers on my right hand that are currently extremely painful. I have "trigger finger" in two fingers. Hypothyroidism. Usually by the end of the day, my entire hand aches all the way into my wrist. I was leery of the day brace, but it worked. It gives just enough support that I can still function but in less pain. The night brace? Perfection. I worried that it wouldn't work since my two fingers aren't the two shown (mine are index and middle) but I was able to use it for a different finger no problem. It immobilizes the sore hand and fingers for the night. Something I've not been able to do with ace bandages, or anything else. I love this set!!!

Has definitely helped improve symptoms.
The idea of a day/night brace is fantastic and has made a difference in my carpal tunnel treatment. I would have given it five stars because the one-size-fits-all brace barely fits my large hand and 10 inch circumference wrist. About 3/8 in more material on the night brace would be perfect for me.

Thank you for this product. My therapist had never seen these. She approved
I broke my wrist and after having a cast on for 9 weeks I developed carpel tunnel. I am going to therapy and using these to help me. I am hoping not to have to have surgery. Time will tell. I used the night brace and corrected a trigger finger so I have high hoped.

Poor design, not a standard wrist support
The support in this brace is applied to the back of your hand and is completely straight. Most wrist braces have a support that goes under your wrist and curves to hold your hand in a resting, neutral position. This brace is like strapping a paint stick to your hand, how is that helpful? I don't think this a medically approved brace. It is going back. Steer clear of this design, I don't think it will help people with carpal tunnel.
