Anyone considering purchasing this product might want to know that you're getting a frame and only a frame -- there's no backing whatsoever. Interestingly this is noted in the written materials sent with the product but this tell-tale description is missing from the online product details.So, unless you're securing this to a completely flat wall you'll need to find appropriate backing to ensure the image you're using lays fully flat. The wall I wanted to place this upon is textered paneling and definitely not flat so I'll need to seek out and purchase backing that will precisely fit within this frame, which I'm not really looking forward to.

The product photo shows a gold frame which I thought I was ordering, but received the black frame instead. Re-checked my order and saw where the title says Black not Gold. Wish they would update the product photo to reflect the actual product! Just make sure you double check which one you are ordering.

While I was hesitant to purchase any movie poster frames sight unseen (other than the online pics), I am extremely pleased with these frames. They are very lightweight (extruded aluminum) and reasonably sturdy for their small profile. Light weight is very important to me as I am hanging them on the fabric panels of my Owens Corning basement system. In case anyone is wondering, I am using cubicle wall hangers instead of the Owens Corning supplied hangers to hold these poster frames to my walls. These frames offer mounting options for vertical and horizontal orientation via slotted holes machined into the frame. The black finish is very nice (not glossy) and they are very easy to assemble. It takes less than 5 minutes to put them together and it requires very little skill. All you need is a flat blade screw driver! I love the fact that once these are on the wall that you don't have to take them down to load and unload new posters. I look forward to many years of service from them. I would definitely buy them again (I bought 4 at once), but I bought them from Stargate Cinema's website, not Amazon. You can get a better deal if you buy more than one at a time, from their website. They were also running a limited time special for free shipping and 10% off when I bought them so it was a no-brainer. Shipping was quick and everything was as promised. The hardest part is deciding which posters to put in these things now!
