Great for holding tarps down on the ground to kill goutweed or other persistent weeds. My soil can be hard-packed in places, but these staples are strong and they don't kink or bend. I do expect them to rust at some point, like most metal exposed to the elements, but the staple is mostly underground and they work just as well when they're rusty!

I bought these to tack down light weight landscape fabric in my vegetable garden. I lay down all the fabric and secure with the staples . After walking on top of the fabric to cut holes and plant the seedlings I noted that the staples held very well. The longer length, heavy weight, and flat top of this product worked very well for me.

I ordered these to hold down chicken wire at bottom of fencing to keep animals out of yard and garden. I am also going to use a Christmas to hold down my balloon and reindeer ornaments during the strong wind and snow. I am sure you can think of many uses after you get them.

Loved the idea of these, but they rust. Since they are made to be put into the soil, they should be made of something that does not rust.

did the job

I wish it did not rust.It rusted within few days. We have yet to see the longevity of these staples.

Used these sod staples to hold down erosion control mats on a recently graded slope. Perfect size and just the right number for the job.

Wonderful little garden helpers! I use these for a lot of different things around my garden!
