a simple functional item. I am using one on my ethernet to coax installation and the coax to ethernet adapter is 12 meters away. The insertion loss (as per the spec) is not enough to degrade the signal, so on a similar installation that would not be an issue (I can only assume that in a TV/SAT installation there will be no issue, but I am not using it for that) it is small , robust , good quality and the threading is good, the connectors are not having any trouble and do not come loose after a while. great value for money

I bought 2 of these kits, purely to get the obviously needed 2nd co-ax lead, if the kit came with 2 leads and the splitter as well as the various adapters it would have got ***** at least!!

Works perfectly as a splitter connecting to the wall for satelitte TV and goCoax MOCA 2.5 through coax. No noticeably change in quality for TV signal or change in latency or download speed for MOCA connection. Coaxial cable also very high quality, works perfectly.

This is a great little device and for me split the output from my Sky+ HD box to 2 additional TVs with little or no degradation to picture quality (additional TVs: bedroom and kitchen, so it didn’t matter to me that I’d only be able to watch the same channel in each room). For those interested, this was achieved with a I/O link for Sky+ HD boxes, combined with technomate TM-RF HD IR modulator. However, despite this device being DC passing, it is NOT IR passing, so I can’t change channel on the additional TVs without going back to the main TV room and using the sky remote in that main room (even though the additional rooms are set up with magic eyes). If I remove this device and simply connect one of the additional TVs to the coax sky output, remote channel changing is possible, so it appears the device blocks IR signals. Sadly I’ll be returning this for a full IR passing distribution system. Its a shame, as on the face of it this little splitter seemed like a cost effective solution. Writing this review to help others who are not only looking to split signals, but also control the split signal via magic eyes / similar.
