Birds Are Happy!
The Kaytee Squirrel & Critter Food Blend is a fantastic option for anyone looking to feed and attract squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and other backyard wildlife. The 10-pound bag provides plenty of food, ensuring that your furry visitors are well-fed for a long time. The blend includes a variety of seeds and nuts, which my backyard critters absolutely love. I’ve noticed an increase in wildlife activity since putting it out, with squirrels, chipmunks, and even the occasional rabbit enjoying the mix. It’s also a great way to keep them away from my bird feeders, as they seem to prefer this blend. The packaging is durable and resealable, keeping the food fresh and easy to store. Overall, this is a high-quality, affordable product that helps you enjoy nature while providing a healthy snack for the animals. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys feeding and observing backyard wildlife!

Ok but corn is not a squirrels favorite
The feed is good itself. However squirrels don't really like corn and this is mostly corn and they leave the corn behind. I'm sure if they get desperate enough they'll eat the corn but just to let you know.

too much corn
I bought this for my squirrels and while they do pick out the seeds, they don't like the corn. I always have all the corn kernels left over. This item has mostly corn so I will be looking for another food product that squirrels like better. They actually like the peanuts best.

Good blend for the price...a bit corn heavy
This is the best price I can get on a good all around mix for feeding squirrels & chipmunks and the persistent birds who steal it. (We feed birds in another area!) Of course it is not what they need for their full diet so it is not used to fill them up...they need to get their minerals and vitamins from natural sources. It is a little corn heavy and they really do not eat the corn...so in that case a little bird clean up is ok. Otherwise we empty the feeders of corn at the end of the day...and put it in the bird area. It is a good price for the mix! We had some heavy logging...unfortunately...nearby and have more squirrels lately...so trying to help them out...and this price and mix helps us out!

Hours of entertainment watching the birds and squirrels gather together
The critters love it and I find it quite comical watching the squirrels bc they get inside try e feeder box. Keeps them fed and me entertained!

Apparently the squirrels are addicted.
This food started the great Winter War of 21/22. Between the Stellar Jay's and the squirrels, the fighting became more of a frat boy party during the daylight hours.Nowadays we get regular visitors on a daily basis. For a while we even had a possum visiting. At one point we had so many different squirrels showing up that my husband started telling our friends that I must be scoring a 5 on SquirrelYelp. This is a staple in our household now as I don't want to start a squirrel revolt if I ran out.

Not for city folks...
Let my start by saying I'm the crazy woman on the block who feeds any creature that appears at my home. This blend is not a big favorite to my squirrels. I have quite an assortment of bird visitors which is pretty amazing as I live in an urban area of NY. The pigeons and doves seem a little more favorable to this blend, my squirrels will eat the sunflower seeds from the mix and the peanuts but the corn just remains, possibly if the were cracked corn instead of whole kernels maybe they would like it more. I mixed it into my wild bird feed and tossed it to the pigeons, and this is by far not the most cost effective blend for pigeons. No food gets wasted here but if you really want to feed squirrels peanuts is your answer. Peanuts will also attract blue jays and woodpeckers if you are a bird fan. Also due to numerous requests from my neighbors I have had to retire any in shell seeds and nuts. These require you to be on the job, you will find sunflower shells and a few peanut shells all around. I did find on amazon a 15 lb bag of shelled raw peanuts which the squirrels love; it is made by a company named lyric. That I will rate a 5 star. No shells to clean up, squirrels and birds alike absolutely love them. Price wise it is an excellent bargain at around $23. Do be mindful though the lyric bag has one of those little moisture packs in it, you know the ones they put in a pair of shoes. I doubt these are animal friendly but there is one in each bag. When I fill my feeders I just pick it out. That being said unless you have a large property where you wont be infringing on your neighbors walkway, and don't mind cleaning up a lot of shells this wouldnt be my first choice.
