A Very Good Reproduction of Jungle Pants
If you are looking for Vietnam type Fatigue pants, these are the pants for you. I actually have some USA-made issue pants from the mid 1970's(NATO numbers are on the tags) that I bought 30 years ago at my local army surplus store and the Rothco pants are a close but not exact copy of them and that is a good thing. As a collector of military items, I am glad that Rothco did not make a 100% accurate fatigue pant as they would be resold on the internet as real issue Vietnam clothing. The differences I can tell are: zipper instead buttons for the fly, 1 button per rear pocket flap instead of two, less stitching per inch on seams than issue, lighter weight rip stop cotton material than issue, round cord for pant cuff ties instead of flat nylon tape, a slightly lighter color of OD green, and the addition of the bandage pocket in the left cargo pocket that my issue pants do not have. I have used these pants for camping, hiking, Scouts, etc as I prefer the feel of the cotton material over the nylon material you find in the outdoor stores currently. These pants are sized to be somewhat loose fitting and are sized proportional, meaning that size Large will have somewhat larger pant legs and cargo pockets than size medium or small. The size large pants I ordered had tags that said Large Regular, but the length seemed almost a Long which is better for me anyway. My suggestion would be if you wash them and want the size to stay the same, wash them in cold water and hang to dry. You can buy actual 1960's issue pants on the internet but you won't be paying Amazon prices as I was seeing them on the internet for $100 plus.

Vintage Vietnam Era Fatigue Trouser Reproductions
Aloha Dave, Thanks for the unbelievably great service and great trousers. I just ordered two more pair. The four you sent me got here in only four days. The FedEx driver accidently delivered the package to the wrong address, down the street, but thanks to up-to-the-minute excellent computer tracking, a really nice agent at the local office and the great driver, he was able to retrieve it and hand it to me within a half hour of him logging the drop-off into the system. It was an incredible experience and all involved should be proud of themselves. The ripstop cotton trouser material is not as tight weave as the original cotton poplin, but is cotton, soft, breathable and really comfortable here on the construction job in Hawaii. So much better than going home in wet sweaty denims at the end of the day. You made a crazy week at work so much better... big mahalo. The originals came in short, medium, long and extra-long. These have a single length per size and run long, so I cuffed them three folds.. fine with me. I removed the draw-cords.. no need to blouse on the jobsite =)Made in china.., but, what isn't? Wish they were still made in the USA.Sizes seem to run true, get 'em, you'll love 'em.Happy to be back in my favorite pants... thanks Dave, so much. I'm back for more now and I'll be back again, guaranteed!Amazon and Dave, thanks for the great service and free shipping.Mick... Stoked in da islands

They're great pants. Wrong colour, though
I'm a 30w 32L, so I ordered the Small. I can't remember it's exact measurements but I do remember the waist is 32. Anyway, it fits perfectly, and is super comfortable, but it isn't quite baggy enough. If you look at any photos from the Vietnam war, their pants look huge, super baggy, so I'd recommend getting a size up, and sinching the waist down with a belt. Also, they're the wrong colour, just like the shirt that goes with them. They're easy to dye, however, so that wasn't a problem. If historical accuracy Isn't a concern, then you're good to go, these feel great

Awesome pants!!
The sizing was correct for me. A large is size 35-39 around the waist. I wear a 36 normally so they fit perfectly. The pants have a solid, but comfortable feel to them. They seem very durable. The material is thick enough to not rip easily, yet light enough to not weigh you down or make you overly hot. I work in Afghanistan so this is very important to me. For the price you can't really go wrong with these.I bought a similar style in a store recently that costed $60 and they were nowhere near as durable as these.BTW, these are Rothco "Ultra Zone" brand pants. You can find them elsewhere on the web for around $27, so Amazon is a tad over-priced, but when you factor in the free shipping and the reliability of Amazon you still come out ahead. The seller shipped them almost immediately and I had them by the end of the week.All-around great buy.

Really confusing sizing.
A lot of others had issues with the sizing of these pants, so I made sure to carefully read everything & then measure. I got what I thought was correct, but when they arrived, they looked like you could fit 2 of me in them - HUGE.I love the pants though, so am exchanging for a smaller size. The print is really cool looking, and they seem to be pretty durable. The price is right also.I have been searching high & low for pants like this - I don't carry a purse, and I need lots of pockets for work. With the advent of "skinny jeans" & "jeggings" it's really hard to find "normal people" pants. (meaning, I'm over 35, so I refuse to wear those types of pants... I think they look horrible on everyone.)
