Good price, not east to build
This workbench is really good considering that it only cost me £46, but I would have been happy to spend an extra fiver if the bloody instructions were better. The instructions look as if there were produced by a disgruntled member of staff who decided to substitute their ruler for the edge of a piece of cheese to draw the 'straight' edges, before photocopying the original, then photocopying the photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy before photocopying that photocopy until such a bad copy was produced that the staff member decided it was bad enough quality to leave the assembler confused and challenged. In the end I discarded the instructions and worked out the build myself...

good product when its built
The finished assembly is sturdy and functional. The build instructions are a bit lacking and I had to refer to the pictures on amazon to work out what went where. However once all the bolts are tightened and the frame set good and true it is a nice work station especially for such little money. If your good at DIY I would recommend this product.

I bought this workbench for "light" use when constructing electronic projects or repairing some gadget or another. I have no need for any particular strength as I would not be attaching heavy vices nor using heavy hammers to hit anything on it.It arrived a day or two earlier than expected and the cardboard packaging was a bit roughed up in places probably due to handling of the heavy parcel. Upon opening I saw that internally pieces of MDF had been used to protect key areas and despite the rough appearance no damage to any part was evident.I disagree with other comments regarding instructions and assembly. In my opinion it is certainly not the worst manual I've encountered. You are provided with a "screw" list and a "parts" list then pictures of each stage in the assembly (but no written guidance). Looking at the pictures I found it quite intuitive especially as parts have an identification sticker on them. Do be aware though that not all parts labelled the same are exactly the same, some may have an extra hole for a reason you will find out later. Read through the instructions first to save time dismantling later. It will take you a couple of hours or so to assemble and like most things of similar nature don't fully tighten everything up until finished. I had a couple of screws "extra" so I'm guessing supply of such is luck, but any hardware store will carry anything needed. The drawer isn't very difficult to fit, well not if you have ever used a filing cabinet or kitchen drawer or the like. The runners extend out then come to an automatic stop. However to fit you need to separate each runner into it's two individual parts. Once you extend the runner, internally on it's "outside" edge you will now see a small lever. Pushing this up/down (depending on side) will release the parts. You can now bolt one half to the drawer and the other half to the bench. Simply align the drawer runners with those on the bench and slide together to refit (easier if you have a helper). The drawer now slides in and out automatically stopping when fully out. You can remove the drawer at any time by pushing the levers mentioned above. The runners are a bit greasy so have some old paper or something to hand. Only an issue during assembly though.I am very satisfied with mine and can recommend the product based on my intended usage.

Good workbench, tricky to assemble.
Good workbench. Reasonably strong and sturdy when assembled, though it will seem flimsy when you first start assembling it. Be aware that it's pretty time consuming to assemble and the instructions are poor especially when it comes to fitting the drawer runners! Tip, they do come apart in two pieces each! Once assembled it's a perfectly good workbench for the money.

instruction are not clear
it a strong bench when all together took me full day to build it because of instruction .also instructions are pain to go through only up side is they are labelled with a or b or c and so on so was easy to find but putting it together was different story. because instruction didn't tell you which side up and which side down had to disassemble 6 times just to get thing right .PROBLEMS FACED BECAUSE OF INSTRUICON BOOK!!!1/draw mounts put in wrong way .2/draw puller didn't have clue how to get draw on until found latch to take puller out of it own assemble . 3/top of bench put whole assemble wrong way so board don't sit right now/ got to fix .4/left leg assemble built it like right because instruction told me to .5/had to cut table top to right size due to it being wrong size.6/peg board had to flip around to correct position because of instruction not being clear that it needed a mounting bracket on back7/had to be wary off how flexible parts were in case they bent which they did had to hammer them back into position8/ had to force joints to comply so could put bolt through hole

Great little workbench
So I'm not known to be the greatest at DIY by my friends but I found this build basically like a large Mechano set.I started at 14:00 and finished at 17:00.Get all your bits laid out in order and all the bolts and nuts in groups too.. Makes it loads easier for the build. The instructions were fine apart from the two upper F pieces should be bolted in, the opposite way around so that the draw guides can be attached. I didn't do that initially using the instructions.. this made sense when attempting to fit the draw...I also had one bolt that didn't have any threads... that was annoying... I had to go to my random bits and bobs jar and look for a matching bolt which I luckily found. :)I was initially concerned with the thickness of the metal but when you tighten everything up in the end and stick the boards in the structure is quite rigid.I think in the summer I will replace the thin fibre boards with some OSB from my local Wickes. I think OSB workstops will take a lot more abuse :)So overall I'm extremely happy with my workbench and it was a bargain price too.:)
