Acid perms are gentler and Alkaline perms are better for resistant hair.

Difference between alkaline and acid perms?

I use Quantum alkaline perm because I am allergic to acid perms. When I used the acid perms and it burned my scalp. I am very satisfied with the results of Quantum perms and would buy it again.
