Poets Paint Waterglass Paint Chalk Finish Blackbird 32 oz

Exactly what I was looking for! I scowered everywhere looking for something like this. When I came across this paint I was so happy! The results were more than I could have expected. I think I did have to use more paint than expected, and the price is rather pricey so that is the ONLY reason I am giving it a 4 star review. I can understand paying $35 for a gallon, but not a quart. I had to end up buying two quarts to refinish a corner cabinet and a buffet BUT I will have more paint for a future project. All in all I am very happy with the paint and will definitely buy again should I need another color.

This paint is amazing! I had sanded and painted an oak banister with white paint and it wasn't holding us very well. I painted over it with this - blackbird on the handrail and vintage white on the spindles. Goes on easily and adheres well without any prep work to the already painted surface. At first it looks like you will be able to see brush strokes but once it dries it looks great. It took 2 coats to get complete coverage. I then applied Miniwax paste finishing wax and buffed with a plain cloth and the end result looked great! The blackbird has a little sparkle to it that you can't really see unless you look up close, but it is unique.

Nice paint. I have used other chalk paint and I have to say that I really like this one. It covers very well. I painted my island in my kitchen that gets lots of abused by my two boys and food splatters and grease. I did put a top coat on my island since it does get lots of use. I used a water based polyurethane and it worked well over the top of this paint. Paint has held up on it. Beautiful. Will buy in other colors.

This was my first time chalk painting and this paint was great. I revamped a white dresser and painted it black. By the second coat there was minimal white showing thru. It really did a great job. I switched out the dated painted white knobs for midevil black cup pulls and the dresser looks great. I'll try to post a picture once I finish waxing it :).

Wonderful paint and color! I only wish it was still in stock for the 32 oz. so I could order more!
