M.2 SSD Heat Shield Heatsink w/ Support Bracket 2FFR0 X3DN4 Replacement for Dell Latitude 5480 5590 5580 5490 5491 5591 5280 5290 Precision 3520 3530

Perfect fit for my Latitude 5490 which had a damaged bottom plate and bent M.2 heatsink from its former life. Now my WD M.2 SSD can consistently perform for long read/write operations without thermal throttle. I was very pleased that the heatsink included both thermal pads already installed, with a protective film, and the support bracket and screws were in separate bags.

I used this to secure a M.2 MVMe 2230 SSD that I installed in a Dell Latitude 5590 (that replaced the original SATA SSD). Installation is easy, although I dropped one star only because even minimal instructions, e.g., some installation photos, would have helped. It was a bit of a puzzle to figure out at first. (Sorry that I neglected to take a photo of my installation for this review.

I changed the 2.5" SSD to a M.2 so I added this. It works good. It fitted my Dell Precision 3530

La compré para una Dell G5 15 8va generación y resulta que NO es compatible cuando la app dice que si era, con muchisima suerte tenía otra Dell en casa y se la terminé colocando y le quedó bien.

I have a Dell Latitude 5480 I purchased refurbished because I wanted something quick n small to code on. It came with a small 256GB full-size SSD. This laptop has an option for an M.2 drive but needed this special bracket to install. It was a little bit fiddly, and not much in the way of instructions, but I was able to get it installed.

Fits perfectly into my Latitude 5490 ! 100% recomended !
