Turned out great

The media could not be loaded.  We used a pair of six foot of these rails for our loft apartment (my wife is a designer). These 100-year-old doors are decently heavy — they glide so smoothly and look amazing. Great idea, honey, and works well also.

To start out for the money I am ok with the purchase. That is the end of the positive. As you can see in the picture the machining of the rail and attachment are less then perfect. When I screwed the rail pieces together as sent it left me with a huge dip when placed in the upward position. In the second picture you will see where I straightened the rail and screwed it tight leaving gaps and then filled the voids with JB Weld fast set epoxy to remove the space and keep the rail from dropping over time. I then used a medium thread lock on the screws for added insurance. I do not want to have to redo this after all is done. My second point is the instruction for installation could be posted as part of the product data. While waiting for the hardware to arrive I pulled the original door trim because it would not match the new decor. If I had known a standard 80" door on drywall would require a piece blocking wood set so low I could have used it as the top of the new trim. This little trinket of knowledge is actually stated - you guessed it - in the instructions. I order the shorter length bent strap because the room also has a drop ceiling and the pictures posted gave me concerned for the clearance about the hardware which further complicated the project. The choice to start trimming, sanding and painting new dimensional trim wood actually cost me time in additional customizing of the install. That is a pointless use of time when the full install information can be easily added to the product description. Unfortunately marginal craftsmanship and short on info has become the new normal.

I was concerned about some previous reviews, so I only ordered 1 to begin with. It worked great, so I ordered 2 more for the other doors I was working on making. These were easy to install, however, I always secure a 1x4 board into the studs first as the pre-drilled holes on the rod will never line up with my studs. This allows me to actually hand the door where I want it, not where the studs want it. I was able to install these alone, however a second hand may have been helpful at times, just to hold the weight of the bar. Overall, I'm very pleased with the 6ft kit I used for these closet doors.

I bought their 6 foot kit and it was perfect! This time I needed a 5 foot kit and everything was great until... I tried to install the hanger with wheels onto the door. The door is exactly 1 3/8 and the screws are too long (this wasnt the case for the 6ft kit)! I was hoping to get it up in one night. Fortunately a few washers from home depot will remedy this issue. Great product otherwise.
