Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Retinol + Vitamin C Face Serum, 1 fl. oz

I'm 42 and have age spots on my hands and a few on my face. If you use it everyday consistently it will fade your spots. The couple on my hands are pretty dark and this didn't help all that much (think I need a laser treatment for those), but the few on my face faded. It will NOT take spots away completely so if that's what you need no over the counter cream will do that. However my facial spots were reduced by about 60%. I did run out and went without for about 2 weeks. My spots did start darkening so consistency is the key with this product. Also, it takes time. Mine didn't start fading until about 3 weeks of everyday use. I'd recommend this product if you are willing to be patient and use everyday. If not you may want to consider the expensive laser treatments.

Pleased with results! It's not immediate, but it does fade the redness out. I usually apply before bed and make sure the skin is dry. Rub into the skin well. It seems to take approx a week to see results.

While I like this product and did see noticible differences in tone, wrinkles and texture early on in use, I feel as though my skin or the product has seemingly plateaued. While I feel it "may" be helping to keep things at bay, the initial improvement is just not progressing at all any more. I have highly sensitive skin! At first I noticed mild irritation using every other day, as time passed and I became accustomed to the product it became a non issue. I've used this well over a six month period of nightly application and as I've said, it's just at the point that this is at a stand sill. I don't like the fact that Neutrogena will not disclose the percentage of retinol in their products. The serum is the most efficacious I.e. Strongest product in their retinol lines. I have learned that the higher the percentage of retinol, the more yellow the product will be. Retinol cannot be dyed! This is a light/slightly towards medium yellow, not as deep as butter. Sorry, I'm kind of struggling with what to compare the color to. I think the price is quite reasonable and this is a really great introduction to the benefits of retinol especially if you have sensitive skin. Just be aware, the results may be good in the beginning but eventually it just becomes a maintenance product. I would recommend that while using a retinol product follow it with a good moistureizer, if you use during the day make sure your wearing at least a SPF of 30. Nightly application is best! Use on clean dry skin, followed by moisturizer. I hope this helps. Best of outcomes to you.

I really love this stuff. And trust me, I don’t say that lightly. Dark spots aren’t magically erased (because reality), but they’re softer and less obvious, and my face just looks more pulled together. And for value for money? Solid. This works like something pricier without making me feel irresponsible at checkout. Bottom line: this is one of those “don’t mess with a good thing” products. Reliable, effective, no drama. Which is basically the skincare equivalent of a healthy relationship.

I have ordered this product several times. I absolutely love it.

I’ve been using this for almost a yr. I’m almost out & there is a slight difference. I’m very religious in using it. I have 2 sun spots that won’t get better. This isn’t the product for it.

After using this for some time, found that it actually helps reduce dark spots and uneven skin tone. Downside is you must remember to put on SPF50 sunscreen after applying this, unless you go to sleep immediately after applying (with lights off!)

Doesn't work at all! Have been using it since it was delivered and the spots are still the same. What a waste of money!
