Very nice gravel, but Lime color is actually yellow, will need about 1 bag per gallon
I bought two bags of these gravel in two different colors, blue and lime. When I opened the bags to rinse the gravel, I was really pleased with their quality. Probably the best gravel I've ever used. There was no dust, dirt or broken bits in the bag. Each piece is large in size, so it's a nice choice for aquariums that might be having issues with gravel that slips through filters on pumps and such. It's very clean, and looks really good in my fish's bowl. However the lime color is not green at all. It doesn't even resemble green, no matter what light I look at it in. It's a light yellow color. The best way I can describe it, would be to call it a pale neon yellow. The blue gravel I ordered in addition to the lime, was true to color. Sort of a deep royal blue color.I have a beta in a fish bowl that looks to be a little bit more than a half-gallon in size, and one bag would have been enough for me to order. But since I wanted to mix the colors, I used half of the contents of two bags. So I would guess you probably need between 1/2 to 1 bag for every half gallon your tank/bowl is. Using the equivalent of one bag of gravel in my half-gallon fish bowl, it sits about 1.5 inches deep at it's deepest point. So if you like your gravel a bit shallower, you would probably use about 1 bag per gallon. Great choice for small bowls and tanks, but those with larger set-ups may want to check and see if this is offered in a larger 5 pound size instead.

Pricey but you pay for quality
This is the best gravel I have ever found. It is rich in color, has a great weight, does NOT shed, and does not have tons of tiny pieces just waiting to attempt to be eaten by your fish. But there is not very much. I have found that about 1/2 a pound works per 1 gallon. You do not need very much gravel and its sole purpose is to weight down decorations and to house beneficial bacteria. About 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of gravel across the bottom of your tank is plenty. You should not exceed 3/4 and inch of gravel as it just becomes difficult to vacuum and therefore houses waste and will dirty your tank and create a harmful environment. While you can definitely get cheaper gravel at much larger sized bags it will almost certainly not be of this quality and if you don't mind spending a bit of money you will be pleased. Always wash this off before using it in a large bucket and then strain it.

Different Blues
I ordered the blue gravel at two different times and ended up with two completely different blue colors. The first order was mid September of this year, and the gravel was a deep dark blue. It was really pretty and I loved the way it looked in the tank. I finally got around to ordering more to fill the tank and ordered a couple more bags of blue. The blue that came this week is a bright aqua blue, no where near the dark blue that I first received and no where near the color on the product image. Outside of that, the gravel that I put in the tank in September still looks great and I would buy this again, but am bummed that different colors of blue were received without knowing that there would be that much of a variation (added a product image to show the difference in blues).

Very nice color; exactly what I needed
This is a great color for what I need. Not an aquarium but a terrarium with water, this gravel and lucky bamboo (which isn't bamboo but who cares?) I'm not an artsy crafsy person but I saw the terrariium in a book and had to make it. Once I get the bamboo I'll post a photo. Anyway, this color is attention-getting. Probably looks great in an acquarium, too. :-)

Not enough
I wish the bag was bigger. I would have needed 4 to 5 more bags for what I was using it for. Which was to put into extremely small fish bowls. 1 bag was used for 4 small bowls. And the bowls donโt have a lot in them in the first place

Black gravel ; it is what it is!
Gravel is gravel! Great for my betta bowl; def a bit on the smaller side (there isn't a lot in the bag), but it's only a pound. You could err on the side of getting two if having a good amount of substrate is important to you. Since this was just for my haunted fishbowl (so just seasonal; will just have it in my bowl for a month), I'm happy with it since I'll be putting my betta's old substrate back in after the holidays. If this was my permanent substrate though, I'd def err on the side of getting 2-3 bags for a 1-2 gallon bowl. : D

Black rocks
I like these non toxic black rocks. They do claim to be dust free but you can see a little in the package itself. The instructions indicate to rinse them before pouring them into your tank and after doing so it went away.Fact: My perception of 1 pound is off because I expected more, but that's my fault not the product itself *Face-palm* In conclusion, I will be ordering more. (:

Tiny amount!
Gravel seems good, you do get a very small amount in the bag, one bag wasnโt enough to cover the bottom of the tank in a thin layer and itโs only a 10 litre tank.

Large bag but won't line standard tank bottom.
I love the colour and the weight of the bag but I've had to buy another one because it barely coated the bottom of my 40l tank. I also balked at the "dust", inside which the packaging recommends you rinse off. What with? I didn't want to waste tank water and wasn't sure tap water would be safe. Anyway, rinse gravel next time you change the water and use the tap safe. And buyb two bags minimum unless you have a micro-tank.

Great looking!
This is my go-to gravel whenever I need to purchase any. The dust-free and silky appearance looks great in my aquarium. You don't get much for your money but you get what you pay for!

Great bright colour
Great bright colour. Totally misjudged how much I would need, so I have bought a couple more. Did not make the water cloudy as other reviews have said. Washed using a sieve/colander a couple times and did the trick.
