You may find other brands that are a few dollars cheaper, but DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY They are typically louder, overheat quicker, and dont last nearly as long.Air exchange is necessary to help fight CO2 depletion and to cool your grow room down for best plant growth. Theres no more efficient way of exchanging air than with an exhaust blower. Our blowers operate at very high static pressures. This gives plenty of power to move air down a long tube or from room to room. All exhaust blowers come ready to mount in place, power cord installed. To determine the approximate size blower you need, divide the cubic footage of the grow room by 5. This gives the CFM Cubic Feet per Minute of air movement required. This formula assumes that the blower must be large enough to replace all the air in the room in 5 minutes. Its better to oversize the fan than getting a fan that is too weak to get the job done.

It made bad grinding noises as soon as I plugged it in
It made bad grinding noises as soon as I plugged it in. When I return it, the company acted as if I was stupid and said there was nothing wrong with it. I am only guessing, but I think they fixed it and said there was no problem. Because the they said nothing was wrong with it, they said they would charge me a restocking fee of 15%, but they LIED and charged 20%! Bad product and super bad company!!!!

This fan has worked flawlessly.
I have had no problems with this fan and have run it during the winter for 12 hours/day for 3 years. I would recommend this to others.

Works great!
I used this fan to get air into a vocal recording booth. It blew too much air so I hooked it up to a 3 speed triac and now it's awesome. I put it on full to cool the booth down; then, drop down to super low speed when I'm recording an artist. After I hit the stop button on the recorder, I boost the fan up to midway and everything is great.

Good blower AND Hydroponics fixed a shipping error
The Dayton blower is running right now. It's ruggedly built and very quiet. I'm using it to move the heat from a basement coal stove through our air ducts. We have had a problem with natural circulation and believe that this fan will solve this problem; early indications are good. The fan uses about $0.35/day (~2.4 kWh/day).Regarding Hydroponics: Though I received the wrong blower (EcoPlus) at first, they promptly sent out the Dayton blower that I had ordered once I contacted them with the error. They also paid the freight on the return trip for the EcoPlus which was a real plus.

received eco plus blower not a dayton.
i did not notice until i had it installed that the blower i received was not a dayton ,but a eco plus which is a cheaper version.

The motor was just what it said it was. It works very well, and is doing a great job really like it.
