Any fix? Different cable?** A: I had this problem. You need to open it up and find the S contact on the board which has a red and green wire soldered to it. Desolder the green wire and solder it to the open S pad next to that (the one with no wires) and it will now work as it's supposed to. **Q: Does it work with the Baofeng UV-5RE ??** A: All the baofengs have the same connection point. . It will work. **Q: Does not work on my UV-82. Although when I push the PTT-B button the red light on the mic comes on?? Why?** A: This speaker-Mike works fine on my UV-82 and my UV-5Rs. Make sure the connecter is fully seated. Next check the A/B switch to ensure you are transmitting on the correct frequency (On the UV-82 this is on the upper and lower parts of the push-to talk switch). ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't Even Look At Another Two Way Radio Speaker Until You've Read About This One First *by L***N on January 14, 2016* Baofeng BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speaker looks very much like the one shown here. Sound clarity good, experiencing no feedback whatsoever even when I talk close into mic to test it out. It has a sturdy clip on the back of it and holds firmly in place when attached to coat. Since it's a two pin adapter it should work well with alot of other Two Way Radios so if you don't have a Baofeng don't automatically think that just because it a Baofeng BF-S112 Two Way Radio Speaker that it won't work with any Two Way Radio you might already have or might be thinking about getting. I think for the cost it's a very good deal and a well put together product and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a two way radio speaker. Satisfied with quality and it's performance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great with... *by A***2 on September 17, 2022* It works great with the right listen only earpiece plugged, even in loud environments, concerts (right next to stage) etc, it has also held up through heavy rain and all, just be advised that the rubber protector over the port to connect the listen only ear piece is kind of stubborn, so it can pry against the jack when plugged in, possible making the jack slightly unhinge. Without the earpiece it still work good if you arent in a super loud/noisy environment. Otherwise I am happy with this purchase! And would recommend for folks that work concerts, security, or special events, etc. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great mic for the price! *by M***M on March 22, 2013* First, it is not as pictured in the main photos. However, one of our fellow Amazoners supplied us with a couple of pictures of the actual item. I prefer the older style , but the new one has features that the other didn't. Outside of the general styling changes are the additions of a red transmit LED and a covered earphone jack. I think its a fair trade off. With that said......most speaker/mic cost at a minumum $45, so i really wasn't sure what to expect. Because my Baofeng UV-5R+ was of very good quality. I took a chance. I'm glad i did. The build quality is very good for the price. The cord is fairly heavy duty and plugs into the radio without a problem. The cord itself is vey stiff, so i would suggest excercising (stretching) the cord for a bit before you use it so it won't put too much pressure on the stress points. The clip on the back is sturdy, but a little short for my taste, and the ratcheting on the clip is a bit loose. The mic has an ear jac. I haven't tried it yet, but should come in handy. The only problem is that the earphone cover is plastic and molded directly to the mic stress reliever. So if you use the ear jack you may not be able to plug the cover back in. The speaker is plenty loud and clear with litte to no distortion. The mic transmits fine but is a bit directional, but that is on purpose. I'm not a big fan of the PTT (push to talk) button. It works via a heavy and loud click. Sounds like a childs toy, but it really does feel solid and should last...just annoying and surely not stealthy..LOL.I would recomend that anyone with a compatible Baofeng radio buy one of these.
