Nerdy college student Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has and gun-toting, Twinkie-loving Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) are about to stare down their most horrifying challenge yet: each other's company. Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin co-star in this double-hitting, head-smashing comedy. Review: Bloody, violent, and funny as hell - Bloody. Violent. Funny. Three words that don't always go together but they're all appropriate when we're talking about "Zombieland." This is a movie that turns the whole zombie genre on its ear and, at least in my opinion, that's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the "Resident Evil" movies and a few others but, honestly, there are way too many zombie flicks out there and way too many of them are formulaic. In the end, it comes down to this: Too much of a good thing is still too much. That said, "Zombieland" is anything but formulaic. For example: Watching Amber Heard - one of the most beautiful women in the world - turn into a zombie and then chase Jesse Eisenberg around his apartment lets the viewer know right away that this is not your run-of-the-mill horror movie. Watching Woody Harrelson fight zombies with a banjo just reinforces that fact. This movie has been reviewed a thousand times or more so I'm not going to spend a lot of time talking about the plot. I'll simply say that the cast - including a wonderful sequence with Bill Murray - does the very funny script proud. The make-up and costuming are top notch and the cinematography is very good. There is a lot of violence in this movie and that might bother some viewers but it didn't trouble me in this instance because it's done to parody so many also-ran zombie movies. As satire, it is brilliant. Great flick: 5 stars. Review: Good quality, good movie - I have watched this movie that I have received from desertcart. Zombieland is a good movie by itself, as I have watched it before. But the quality of the dvd I have recieved is even better than the first time I watched it. The image was crisp, clear, and almost real to me, and it isn't even blue ray. The movie itself, a zombie movie, consists of good humor and good gore. (spoiler) I didn't even get sick as the clown zombie's head was smashed in. (end spoiler) Most of the zombie movies I have watched were more serious than funny, and the mood usually got in the way of my enjoyment of the movie. when I watched Sean of the Dead, it was funny, yes, but the humor was unnecessary and almost sickening at some parts. While I do sometimes enjoy British humor, I will never understand it. Zombieland offered a different sort of humor. It was funny, I understood it, and it almost helped with character development. all in all, it was a very good movie. I look forward to when my brother can watch it. He doesn't like zombie movies, but he said this one looked good. And it was.

Awesome movie, I just hope they don't screw it up with Part 2.
This movie rocks!! i love Woody Harrelson, hes always been one of my favorite actors so i was so glad to see him in this role. Jesse Engleberg (i know im spelling it wrong) was ok Emma Stone was HOT AS HELL, oh my god Abiligail Breslin, whatever, she was ok. I just wish they would have concentrated more on zombie killing and maybe alittle more gore, but thats ok...it wasn't meant to be a horror flick and less focus on the attraction between Jesse and Emmas characters. Oh yeah and the cameo with....maybe i shouldnt tell...oh god, it was BILL MURRAY (like everyone doesnt know already know) was okay but it kinda dragged out while they were in his house. All in all, it was a fun movie and i really love the "RULE #1" thing going on in the movie....AWESOME!! The intro scenes and the blaring of Metllica make the intro one of the coolest intros to a movie i have ever seen. Part 2 is suppossed to be coming out in 2011 sometime, so i really pray to god they don't mess up the original with a stupid sequel.

Just Plain Funny
Zombieland is one of those movies that's just plain fun and funny. I highly doubt there's anyone out there who doesn't know the premise of the story, but the long and short of it is this: The world has been overrun by zombies and there's still a few humans left. Harrelson's character Tallahassee, is a wise cracking sure shot zombie killer. He teams up with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and eventually Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) to make their way cross country to a safehaven. The acting is perfect for the writing which makes this not a scary movie at all but a comedy with a horror type backstory. Tallahassee in search of a fresh Hostess treat is a running joke throughout the movie.

Great Movie
I enjoyed this movie greatly. One of the better movies I've seen in the last few years. It has been described as "Superbad meets Shaun of the Dead" and while I wouldn't specifically say that is inaccurate, I wouldn't personally describe it as such. It has similar elements from both, but it has a lot more too. It's very funny, and very fun to watch. The actors did a very nice job, especially the young Abigail Breslin. This is perhaps Woody Harrelson's finest performance as well. The zombies were well done and the special effects were good. I would recommend this to any zombie lover, or anyone who likes a good comedy.

I bought this dvd for a friend who is really into post-apocalyptic zombie films. This one has a mix of dark humour, combined with plenty of gore. Woody Harrelson, who plays the character, Tallahassee, steals a lot of scenes with his wacky personality and expert zombie killing skills. It's a fun watch to be entertained. Disc came in good condition!

The movie was a few days late but other than that all was well. It was in the proper packaging and it didn't look like a home made copy.
