Supplements, Pantothenic Acid 500 mg, B-Complex Vitamin, 100 Caps

I've been on antibiotics for my acne for a little over 4 years now and just recently opted out of taking them. Docycyline, Minocycline, Tetracycline, Arythromycin, you name it, I've been on it. Proactive, Murad, Acne.org products, and many over the counter washes did nothing for me. Clindamycin, Differin, Tretinoin, Benzoyl Peroxide body washes, creams and the like, I've used them all. All of the antibiotic pills and creams I've listed were prescribed through a dermatologist, which got costly and time consuming. I've tried diets that "reduce" acne and I've used many home remedies. I've washed pillow cases religiously. I never used the same towel twice unless it was freshly washed. Even all of these actions, many times in combination with each other, did very little. Some of them honestly did help a bit, but after a few months my acne just came back with a vengeance. My acne is no where near extremely severe, I only have moderate/severe acne on my back and a bit on my chest. My face is fairly contained, as the Tretinoin and Differin cream seemed to shrink my pores at the cost of burned skin and horrible redness while on it. It's the price I had to pay, but luckily, my face is only mild and rarely moderate, so I never had it TOO bad to begin with. What bugged me the most was my back. My back was like a battle ground (it looked like one too). NOTHING worked. Tretinoin cream worked occasionally, but would make me very itchy and uncomfortable. I never went to the beach and never took my shirt off. I was running out of hope. I was considering taking Accutane, which should be a person's very LAST resort. That stuff is very dangerous (an acquaintance of mine hung himself while on it). Stay away from it unless you really have no other choice, but keep in consideration it really does work. That stuff destroys acne and keeps it at bay, however, the side effects give you a lot to consider. That was just to give you some background information. Now, I was introduced to B5 (Panthothenic Acid) through Clearzine (acne fighting pills that also use Vitamin B5 as the active ingredient), many of you have heard of it. Clearzine was quite expensive and hard to buy, and it was only sold by 60 pills per bottle. Not the best financial purchase, as these pills should be taken upwards 5 a day for mild acne. You'd be out of a bottle before you know it, your acne would come back (if it even worked for you) and you'd be missing a good chunk of change. But THIS stuff. This stuff destroyed 80% of my acne. My back is perfectly clear, now I just have to deal with the years of scars. It's incredible. I even got my girlfriend a bottle because she was amazed by how clear my back got and she struggles with mild acne as well. I have more energy cause of taking this, and I never have to worry about any nasty side-effects since it's water-soluble (anything unused is just excreted through your urine). If you look through some other reviews, you'll see how this stuff actually works and why it's so amazing. But honestly, if you were suffering like I was, 250 pills for this price is a very small price to pay for what it could possibly do for you. For me, it started working within a week, but for other people it takes a few weeks, up to 3, so don't give up hope. I started taking 4 pills a day (while taking Clearzine I only took 2 pills a day, and that did little to nothing for me), then bumped it up to 6 or 8 pills a day when my acne flared up. It may sound like a lot to take, and trust me, I thought so too, but this stuff works in bulk. It's perfectly safe, I've done a lot of research before taking such a large amount of a Vitamin daily because I was worried about the health risks as well. You can take up to 10 grams (20 pills) a day and theoretically be fine, however, I don't suggest you take more than 3 grams, unless it's EXTREMELY severe acne. Honestly, just give it a shot. I'm very happy I did because my acne is very close to being gone (the remaining acne is usually because I touch my face a lot and it's just a very bad habit that makes acne so much worse). This is the best my skin has looked and felt in years. Disclaimer: I also drink only water (occasionally milk or orange juice) mainly because ever since doing so my skin is more "fresh" and manageable. My acne got much better after drinking a lot of water. I also started using Salicylic Acid body washes (my favorite is St. Ives), and I can honestly say those helped a ton too. They're mild enough to fight acne while gently exfoliating your skin. Be careful which brand you choose as Neutrogena and Clearasil don't work that well, at least in my experience. St. Ives did wonders for me. Ultimately, everybody's acne struggle is different. You can't give up. Acne is debilitating, trust me I know. But it CAN go away. Either you wait it out till your early mid-twenties (if you're still fairly young like me, that is), or you do all you can to fight it. It took me over 5 years, but I think I'm finally winning. I hope you can too.

I started taking these supplements specifically for acne after finding out people were taking these in high doses for acne and excess oily skin. I suffer from acne and over productive oily skin! I hate it! I'm always carrying folded paper towels in my pocket just because I know even if I sweat just a little bit it will stay and stick to my face until I wipe it clean otherwise it just looks like an oily mess making me look like im stressing out when I'm not. This excess oily skin is no joke ESPECIALLY during the summer weather. Acne also likes to flare up on my cheeks, forehead and nose areas even when I use a face wash and spot treatments. So as you can see I suffer from acne mostly because of my oily skin :( When I read that these pills had helped many out with controlling their oily skin and eliminating acne for good I just had to jump on it too! So for like the first 2 weeks I started by taking up to 8,000 mg of the NOW Pantothenic Acid. I didn't like that it was a lot of pills and for some reason I would feel drained or weak for taking so many of these pills in a day which is odd because others claimed they would feel energetic and that was with spreading them out throughout the day. I ended up doing more research on these supplements just incase I was missing something or needed to change the dose up a bit to suit me. I found that I didn't have to take as many pills as many others do and STILL get the same benefits but the thing I had to do was take pantothenic acid along with L-Carnitine which NOW also carries :) Big money saver too since I'm not going through the bottles as quickly anymore! So what works for me is I take 1 pill of L-Carnitine and 3 pills of Pantothenic Acid 3 times a day. I take them with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I noticed some results after about 3 weeks. My face had less acne and my skin looked healthier. It wasn't until about the 5 or 6th week that I was finally pleased with the results :D my skin looks amazingly clean and clear on my face! That was my major concern was with my face because that where I mostly get it. I don't really get acne on my back so I can't say much if it helped in that area. The back of my arms I still notice a few bumps here and there. My "downstair cheeks" (haha) still break out once in a while but I believe that is because I work outside in the hot sun right now and most of the time I'm sitting down and well sweat builds up and that may be a cause as to why I break out down their but it has gotten better from what I remember. That's another thing by the way. Since I work outside, i've known over the years that heat causes me to break out and create even more sweat and oil on my face. I used get paranoid about being out for too long in the summer time because it would cause me to break out but ever since I started to reap the benefits of these two supplements I no longer worry about being outside. I mean it's an amazing feeling to worry about one less thing about yourself :D my job can get pretty dirty as well with dirt being all over me, my face and yet I STILL DON'T BREAK OUT EVEN AFTER ALL OF THAT!!! I still carry folded paper towels because I haven't exactly conquered this oily skin just yet but I'm still going to hang on to hope for a bit longer. Regardless if it doesn't subside, these supplements are amazing already :D I've been doing this for about two and a half months and people see a major difference and that makes me happy because I see it too :) so this is my story. I may come and update this at a later time mainly to leave feedback on my oily skin. Others claimed that their oily skin reduced and close to being eliminated after some time so I'm really hoping to get that benefit as well. And yes I'm a guy, mid-late 20s with these skin insecurities that have been with me since I was a teen.

I have never written a review on this website but this supplement is amazing for managing acne. Prior to purchasing this product, I had researched the effects pantothenic acid had on acne and was extremely hopeful that this product would work for my 15 year-old son. I am a Acutane survivor and I dreaded the thought of my son having to take Acutane and was desperate for an alternative. In September, 2011, I purchased this product for my son who was suffering from noticeable acne on his face, shoulders and chest. After six months of usage, all of his blackheads are gone and 95% of his acne is gone (the scaring that acne leaves behind takes time to heal but it does eventually go away). He began taking 10 grams a day for the first 4 months. I then moved him down to 9 grams the 5th and 6th month and now he's down to 8 grams with the hope that he'll be down to 5 grams daily in one year. This is the supplement that the acne treatment indudstry doesn't want you to know about. Trust me when I say that this supplement should put all makers of acne treatment out of business, especially the sham that is ProActive. If your tired of topical acne treatments drying out your face and bleaching out your pillow case and treatments that only work for a short time, this supplement is the answer. People who suffer from noticable acne usually lack co-enzyme A in their body and they will never find a topical acne treatment that works longterm. Co-enzyme A is what removes the excess oil from our bodies and if you have noticeable acne than you are deficient of co-enzyme A. Pantothenic acid replenishes co-enzyme in your body. You can't scrub away problematic acne because the problem isn't on the body's outside, it's on the inside (the studies available on-line show it!). As for this specific brand, the NOW brand has worked for my son and the price is good. I hope this review helps you in deciding what acne treatment strategy to choose. Pantothenic acid is truly natures way to punch back at acne. Be patient and dedicate yourself to a strict daily routine in using this supplement, taking several times daily with food and lots of water, and amazing results will be yours!

It’s a good product

Honest review: Been suffering from Cystic Acne and just acne period my whole life (extreme oily skin). I have tried every over the counter and prescription options available but nothing really worked for me. So I figured I should start trying more natural/diet options to see if that helps clear up my skin. Please note I am not a doctor. This regime appears to be working for ‘me’ . 1. Detox : I take a teaspoon of Diatomaceous Earth food grade and mix that in water. That removes toxins, and parasites that can live in a humans body for years based upon the research I’ve read online. Look it up! (2 times a week) usually at night and first thing in the AM 2. Apple Cider Vinegar (2 times a week) usually at night and first thing in the AM 3. Throw out all old (longer than 1 year cooking utensils and switched to more chrome based cooking ware. Getting more in the habit of throwing away old things that wear down because you may end up eating the plastic that’s in a spatula or even the material in a non stick frying pan. Glass Cups and Glass plates. I rinse off everything even if it was in the dishwasher. Change bed rooms sheets at least 3 times a week. Seems a little OCD but it’s working. I have a million towels too. Again seems OCD but constantly reusing things can lead to injesting chemicals or dirt getting in your pores. 4. Herbal Skin Care Supplements Dosage Zinc Supplements (1) 50 MG Pantothenic (1) 500 MG Biotin (1) 10,000 MCG Flaxseed Oil (1) 1200 MCG Twice a week. On days not taking Supplements listed above I do a Colon Cleanse (at 4pm) gives body 4 hours to digest Now the hardest but definitely IMO the acne killer. Mental Supplements and Diet (non dairy) 5. Mental Supplements (If you are using something stick with it!!) it takes time to heal a brain from depression, anxiety, ADHD and good old STRESS so just give it time. For me I would say I noticed a change instantly with Mental Supplements like my brain was craving a boost and I noticed changes. Side effects for me was I was processing so many things that my short term memory took a hit initially so I would lose things(phones, bookbags, keys) things that I literally just had in my possession then i would leave them behind. Thank GOD I noticed it and was able to recover those lost items..lol Now i don’t lose things as much and plus I’m able to handle more tasks. For me: Mental Supplements (They all seem to work for me pick the best once’s based upon reviews) NuroPeak Ginkgo Biloba Ashwagandha 300 MG (take 2 or 3 depending on now bad your mental issues are)- they sell it at Whole Foods or here on Amazon. You know the drill order the one with the best reviews. I take mine at night. It’s a miracle worker. Can’t say enough how much this supplement helps with overthinking and starting something and ‘finishing’ things and skin inflammation. it does it all!!! 6. Skin Care Diet I had to give up SOME dairy but my cheat days don’t seem to bother me because i try and stick to organic dairy ‘cheat foods’ ie. ice cream, pizza, yogurt. Outside of my cheat days no more regular dairy or even organic dairy milk or cheese for me. I switched to Almond, Soy and even Rice Milk. I switch it up and mix it in any brand cereal to hide the taste. Milk was my biggest trigger for acne. It was something with the animal hormones in the milk plus when I’m stressed those hormones mixed with my stress didn’t play well and I would always get a painful cycstic acne. IMO a burger with vegan cheese still tastes like a burger..lol I’m sure some people will say otherwise but when you haven’t had a burger in 2-3 weeks I guarantee that vegan cheese won’t taste as bad. Plus now they mix it with coconut oil and it really tastes good. Bread- Non Dairy Bread. Not really a big bread consumer but again toasted bread with peanut butter still tastes the same to me on non-dairy bread. 7. Goes without saying, no soda, plenty of water, plenty of sleep and plenty of exercise (ie. sweating and doing activities that force you to jump up and down or if you can’t jump then try this. From a standing position start to gradually sit down on the floor then once sitting on the floor stand back up. That little exercise seems to work pretty good for the core. Adjust the speed at your own pace of course but the faster you do it the more you will feel the burn. Please monitor supplements when mixing with prescription drugs. I got sick one time and found out the Pantothenic didn’t play well with some prescriptions. So listen to your body and maybe do the mental supplements in the morning, diet supplements in the afternoon and prescriptions at night or vice versa. Some days I skip the mental supplements but I never skipped diet supplements. Listen to your body and give it a chance to heal itself. Remember the goal should be to always get off prescriptions if at all possible. Skin Care Tip: I like all charcoal based cleaners those appear to be working miracles for my oily skin. Aveno lotions work well for my skin. Recently bumped into this BioOil product on amazon and its slowly removing dark spots. Only use that at night because of a somewhat noticeable fragrance. For me I can deal with some things if the end results are clear skin being in a better mood and more engaged in life. It’s a new year (2018) hopefully this review helps someone with cystic acne or acne period or suffers from genetic concentration issues. I have not removed all dairy from my diet but I would say I removed about 90% of all dairy from my diet and just have cheat days. There’s no such thing as a quick fix which is why I shared my entire routine. I’ll give everyone an update around March 2018 and let you know if things are still going well or not. Good Luck —————- 30days since ordered product review Figured I would give another review prior to March since I just completed 2 major presentations to a large audience and attended a major conference. All within 3 back to back weeks. By now I would of definitely have a cycst flare up. Not one appeared!!! The ultimate test is tomorrow when I will be video recorded which usually triggers something the next day. This stuff works! I’m still sticking to my non dairy diet. Surprisingly it’s wasnt that bad because almond milk and rice milk actually tastes okay after awhile. When I go out i make sure I ask for no cheese or order foods with no cheese or dairy. For those of you who eat properly, exercise regularly (keep doing what your’re doing) but I strongly recommend adding these supplements to your routine !!!!

It’s clearing up my acne and oily face issues. I take it three times a day with food. No issues

I was taking Pantothenic Acid to treat my cystic acne two times a day (four pills each time) for about two months. Prior to taking Pantothenic Acid, I had struggled with cystic acne for over ten years. I had tried everything short of Acutain. Nothing seemed to work and I've got the scars to prove it. Did my acne go away for the first time in my life after using Pantothenic Acid? Yes, it surprisingly did. I occasionally have one pimple here or there but for the most part my face is almost entirely clear. BUT I feel like I do need to say a couple of things... 1) Everyone is different. It took me nearly ten years and into my thirties for me to find a natural cure to my acne without the help of medical professionals. It may take a while for you too. It could be Pantothenic Acid or it could be something else. Don't give up, there lots of natural options waiting for you to explore! And, 2) I can't give Pantothenic Acid all of the credit for my face clearing. I didn't test one thing at a time - I threw the proverbial kitchen sink at my face. So, I can't prove that this is a cure-all for acne. I would also do daily egg yolk masks and would mix a turmeric and ginger powder supplement into those masks as well. I began taking a powder Inositol supplement in my water and Choline to help with my mood. Inosotol has been shown to improve side effects of endometriosis - an issue I have that also causes hormonal cystic acne. I also changed jobs and significantly reduced my stress while focusing more on being properly hydrated. So, again, it's hard to give Pantothenic Acid all of the credit but I have no doubt that it helped in my journey. I am no longer taking this daily strictly due to budget reasons but I am still acne free. I do highly recommend this as a first line of defense option. And, if you struggle to see success consider some lifestyle changes combined with taking Inosotol!

I've tried everything for my acne. Prescribed antibiotics ( Doxycyline for 3 months ) , expensive lotions and face washes , including Atralin, Aveno and many others. I've been struggle with horrible big acne for almost one year. No results. My dermatologist prescribed me Accutane, but i did refuse it since it's side effects are like a horror movie. I've moved on my own to Sulfur lotion http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00411B4CC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, to Black Arican soup, to Sulfur soup , also Peroxide 5.5% from La Roche and this vitamin B5. I can't believe it, but this thing....really works. It didn't gave any results at the beginning ( i started with 5 pills ), so i increased to 15 pills daily. After 3 days i had a very ugly breakout , but hey...it gets worse before it gets better ....but is all gone now and i don't have any new breakouts. I also don't get any side effects at all, besides going more often to the bathroom , because i started drinking a lot of water . This is a good thing because that's how basically this vitamin helps you to eliminate the bacteria. It supposed to work just like Accutane, but no side effects. I don't even get dry, i get dry from the other lotions and face washes i'm using it. If you do struggle with acne , try this. It did worked for me, i didn't stop, i'm still taking it. Give it 1-2 months to see the results and take 10 or more, otherwise it doesn't work. At least, this is my experience. I just hope the plague called acne won't come back the day i'm going to stop taking this vitamin. Good luck ! I know what acne means and what are you girls and boys are going through. Remember : you are beautiful, don't let acne win, but don't go for crazy measures ( Accutane) to stop it. Your health and you as a person worth more than anything else.
