Raw/Rough Fire Opals
I don't think people read the description of the product and have false expectations. These are raw, rough opals that are small and range in size and fire. They are at this affordable price because YOU have to do the work to clean and prep. These are NOT meant to be tumbled. You don't tumble fire opals anyway, they are far too delicate. You are receiving a 50 carat lot from a mine. Opals need to be cleaned (do not use metal - use a toothpick so as not to damage the stones, and mineral oil) After a bit of work, they are ready to set into prongs, wire wrap, or even as beautiful specimen-like pieces for display or alter.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
BEWARE! These stones are TINY! The description claims that these are raw stones, suitable for Tumbling. They are NOT! They are absolutely too small to tumble, and are Low quality. Please see 2 photos - 1st in package, 2nd unpacked. U.S. Nickel in photo for scale.

Read item description before ordering.
Very pretty little pieces. Just make sure you read the description. I was not expecting large pieces, so I am very satisfied. The ones I got are really Beautiful.

Beautiful for Cabbing!
I feel like some people may misunderstand what they are purchasing when they are placing an order for this particular product, this product is small loose individual Opals totaling up to 50 carats not a single Stone of a 50 carat weight... such an opal would be absurdly expensive... bordering on something to be cut into a Royal heirloom expensive...These small individual Stones many of them slightly less than the size of a dime if you're an American, 5 to 7mm if your measurement system likes 10s... They have wonderful amounts of fire once you have cleaned off the loose clay matrix and then can set to work polishing them into individual gemstones to be mounted on earring or in a bezel as part of a necklace.

Not colorful stones mostly tiny pieces
I know what fire opal costs I know it says no fire in description but I have bought these cheap parcels before from Australia and there is still a bunch of fire, there was color in two stones but never be able to make a piece of jewelry..I did get it just to practice so..ok 9 bucks is too much for this parcel and its insulting the amount of minute worthless rocks, just throw in the 4 small but workable pieces so I don't have to throw out 75% and charge 4 bucks and DONT PUT A PICTURE WITH FIRE IN THE OPAL THEN WRITE IN DESCRIPTION THAT THERES NO FIRE/COLOR...ITS SMELL A MARKETING WHEN YOU DO THAT

Don't get your hopes up,
small , several had a clay type matrix incrusting it , once remove each piece was 1/2 the size , hate buying gemstone on Amazon , but price and convenience is a factor to consider, I'll usually give it a tryon smaller quantities, this time no exception, disappointing , maybe I'll crush them smaller for a inlay ring

Do not buy
Do not buy. To small and useless you can't tumbler which is what it advertised. To small to use for jewelry or even to tell what it is. They are selling there broken off garbage.

They are stones that have to be cleaned.
I have cleaned these bits of stones to the point that you can see the fire in the colors. If you are expecting to have a ready to set opal when your package arrives you will be disappointed. The effort is worth the time to expose the colors. There are many diy videos on cleaning the opals on line. Enjoy the project.
