how many times should I feed the butterflys a day

I received five health caterpillars which morphed into five live butterflys. Three of my butterflys emerged a week after I put the cocoons into the butterfly garden and two followed about twelve hours later. I immediately put in fresh flowers from the yard and squirted the sugar water onto the flowers. I did this again about 12 hrs. later. The next morning I refreshed the flowers and repeated as the day before. The butterflys grew rapidly and because of an incoming storm and cooler weather, I released after 2 and 1/2 days. The butterflys immediately flew out of site. Butterflys migrate at very high attitudes so I am sure they are now enjoying a pina colata in warmer climes. This was a very rewarding experience for four generations of my family. I hope this helps.

Dead or alive? Received my caterpillars, but they aren't moving.They are just sitting on the side of the cup in silk. They don't fall off when I gently turn the cup. Are they supposed to be active? ** Update. They don't move a lot, but all 5 of my caterpillars turned into beautiful butterflies!

Ours did show up dead. It was not the sellers fault, it was just too hot when we ordered them and the little guys could not handle the heat. Be aware of this. We had to wait months to reorder them. We just got them 5 days ago safe and sound.

approximately 12" diameter and a height of 2 ft.best thing is that the habitat is collapsible for storage and re-use!
