Autel Scanner MaxiCOM MK808BT PRO, 2026 Newer Bidirectional Tool as MK900BT

Excellent scanner! The Autel MaxiCOM MK900 BT Pro is fast, easy to use, and very reliable. The Bluetooth feature makes diagnostics much more convenient, and it works great on different vehicles. It has powerful functions, accurate readings, and saves me a lot of time. Definitely worth the investment. Highly recommended!

I purchased the Autel MaxiCOMM MK808BT PRO to help with maintenance, troubleshooting and programming of several vehicles in my family. It has proven to be very capable of meeting all of my needs and quit helpful with monitoring vehicle health and well being. It can also be kept current with software updates available as needed. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone looking for a great quality scan tool that should serve their automotive needs today and in the future.

This is a great device for the home mechanic that wants a scanner that can perform some of the tasks of the professional tools while being more affordable. It has already helped me with a few issues in our two vehicle family. I was able to get the TPMS sensor of our 2024 Rav4 to correctly recognize our winter tires and conduct a brake pressure relearn when I replaced the electronic brake control module on our 2018 Chevy Silverado. Without this tool I would have needed to taken the Silverado to a shop for that procedure even though the setup/configuration step is a quick procedure. Like any scan tool there is a learning curve, this tool is quite easy to use once you use it a little and read some of the tutorials. This tool will also allow me to reprogram key fobs for many vehicles like my Silverado which is quite handy. The Bluetooth OBDII dongle is also a plus. I can move around to the problem area like testing the starter relay from the engine bay with this tool instead of having to deal with a long cable.

There's 2 of them. I picked this product because of his price and its features. I needed a good bidirectional scan tool right, and upon reviewing all the other scandal is on the market, this one seemed like the best Bang for my buck. I love the fact that you can buy an inspection camera that hooks up with it or a battery tester, and you can also make Reports off of this device, if you were working into a shop or like I use it for to provide documentation, is showing that there was an issue that and now it is fixed to either myself or my brother, who I have checked all 4 of our vehicles with and we own 4 different. makes really helped with troubleshooting, whenever we couldn't figure out what was going on with his Van. And the customer service is top, notch i wasn't as well

My honest opinion of this product is that the tool works just fine and is helpful with diagnosis much more that all other ones. I owned a few and this one works great. The problem or problems that I'm having is that I don't use it everyday like a normal Tech. I'm a DIYer working out of my garage and yes I tackle the hard stuff as well. When you use a product all the time you get proficient with it and thats my problem. Autel contacted me about my concerns which I appreciated greatly. I'm a small nobody and Autel customer service support to the time to address my issues. I really have nothing bad to say about the product and I look forward to learning more about it as I use it. I'm writing this review in the hopes of reaching out to all DIYer to not hesitate in purchasing this product. It too, me 2 years to buy this Autel, and I've learned that it's very powerful once you learn how to use it. Some people go to Auto Zone or other companies to find out why they have a check engine light on. They don't really tell you whats wrong but this scanner does. Hope this helps.

I am updating my review for this scan tool. The seller reached out to address my concerns regarding both the scan tool and the technical support I received. The Autel agent that I spoke to was not from the company that sells this unit online. I spoke to the U.S. based Autel technical support and they are not who sold it. It, therefore, is not fair to base my experience with Autel US technical support with the seller’s technical support. Also, I re-read the advertisement information for this scan tool and it does not specifically say that it can register tpms sensors. With that being the case, I am adding 3 stars to my review for a total of 5. Nevertheless, be aware that you must not program Toyota tpms sensors with this unit due to that glitch. You can diagnose but do not program. I will say that it was good customer service for them to contact me and explain there side of it. The customer service on this was excellent and I am pleased they reached out. ——————- Old Review below————- So I have owned this for a year. It is a average scan tool and can give you more functionality than a basic code reader. However, be aware that it has some quirks in it’s software. For example, I was programming tpms sensors on a Tacoma. Everything was ok during the programming phase, however after programming, the scan tool caused the tpms to go into test mode. When this happens, the tpms light flashes rapidly. Normally this is only actuated in signal check for the tpms computer. I could not enter signal check because the tpms was already in test mode. I researched this online and found two occurrences of this happening using this scan tool on Toyota products. I called technical support and talk to a representative that proceeded to tell me that I shouldn’t have tried to register tpms sensors with the scan tool. Excuse me? Your scan tool offers that as an function. He then proceeded to tell me that I should have used their tpms tool to register sensors. At this point, it was obvious that he had no clue how to help and said that he had never heard of that problem. I used to work as a Toyota mechanic and so I went to the dealership and tried to get it out of test mode with a factory scan tool. No luck. The techstream couldn’t enter because it was already in test mode and it just said that it couldn’t communicate with the tpms (which it could because I could read data from it). I ended up using a Snap on Ethos that had old software to get it out of test mode. I really have been disappointed with Autel support. I won’t buy any more of their products because of the lack of technical support and their dismissive attitude. This glitch in the software needs to be corrected. If you have a Toyota, I would stay out of the tpms function on this scan tool.

I own and maintain two Volvos, a 2014 XC70 and a 2019 V90 R Design. I purchased this MK808BT in January of 2020 thinking that I would be able to utilize the scanner past the first year of updates without a problem (as advertised). As far as actually using this scanner I have a few misgivings which I'll list below with the MAJOR problem (and reason for leaving this review) of the fact that my scanner would no longer download the diagnostic files without an error. This scanner is INTERNET BASED in that EVERY time you run through the diagnostic procedures of a vehicle the unit MUST download the diagnostic data. This is all well and good and I have resigned myself to this slow (the tablet is Android 4.4 based) process. There are a few problems with this requirement in that you must have an internet connection, although I would imagine you could tether the device to a cell phone, to be able to utilize the scanner. Autel must have changed the format of the diagnostics files which need to be downloaded because as of last week my unit would NOT download without an error. That's it, no file no diagnostics. I searched the internet for a remedy with no luck. I was FORCED to either replace my scanner which was no longer functional to me OR try to upgrade my software subscription. Long story short I was forced to spend the $150 software upgrade fee to continue to use this scanner even though Autel states that you can CONTINUE to use the scanner past the software subscription expiration albeit without the software changes. My other major gripe is that the MK808BT will not automatically scan the VIN for my V90 and set the diagnostics parameters. I must MANUALLY enter the market (North American), year, model and drivetrain information EVERY time I wish to scan. This is the case even after "UPGRADING" the Volvo diagnostics to current configuration. To be fair, the MK808BT does not exhibit this problem with my XC70. All in all the unit is fairly easy to operate with fairly accurate diagnostics capabilities. Had I known that the unit is INTERNET BASED I would have either not purchased the unit or sought a scanner that isn't. Autel DOES offer units that are NOT dependent they are, however, considerably more expensive. UPDATE: After updating my subscription and DOWNLOADING every update my unit is functioning once more. As a side note it took in excess of FOUR HOURS to back up the newly downloaded data to a thumb drive directly plugged into the MK808BT. It's HIGHLY RECCOMENDED that you back up every file in the "Scan" folder located in system memory (internal SD drive). Supposedly I could have restored these files from a backup which would have eliminated my having to renew my subscription. Oh well, at least I have the latest data files. UPDATE #2: Autel Customer Service reached out to me after reading my review. After I explained the situation about the necessity to renew my software to be able to continue the use of my scanner we agreed that this should not have happened. As a result Autel graciously REFUNDED my renewal fees. Thank you Autel! I can't stress enough the necessity of BACKING UP the "SCAN" folder located on the system's internal SD drive. My predicament would not have happened had I completed the backup process. It would have been a simple task of restoring the backup to the original "SCAN" folder. Kudos to Autel for supporting its' customers in such a manner.

Awsome diagnostic tool touchscreen and BT make using pleasurable. Very easy navigation. I researched several scanners and Autel is hands down best bang. Their customer service answered emails quickly and actually offered advice for problems with my vehicle and basically said try this before buying a scan tool. Autel MK808BT is Android based touchscreen with BT and it shows live data anything and everything. It graphs multiple sensors can record multiple sensors while you drive. It does do some bidirectional functions depending on your cars capabilities. Unfortunately I have a 2009 Frontier so not a lot of Hot Functions but I found 5 codes that my cheap OBD2 scanner missed. This really is an amazing product with customer support goes well beyond expectations. You can even search the web via Chrome. I’m sure I’ve not figured out all the functions but found once Autel account was setup the main functions were pretty much self explanatory since it’s touchscreen and only one button for on/off. First year free updates. Ok bad news after one year free there is a fee which currently is around 124.00 per year. But you can still use your Autel without paying for updates and it will function just the same. Where the updates come in is for new model years or if a bug is found that needs to be addressed. All in all I would say I’ll probably update every couple of years unless I purchase a vehicle that requires said update. So in conclusion if you’re looking for a automotive diagnostic tool that’s easy to use, has tons of data and an Awsome Engineering staff for technical issues then search no more buy the Autel MK808BT. Forgot to mention the BT is great I can sit in a comfy chair within 33ft of my vehicle while diagnosing issues. Thanks Autel I’m very happy with my purchase.

Im having problems with insufficient memory not having used the tool yet. Tried doing what Autel recommended but without success. Made an appointment for a online repair and got up at 04:00 (uk) and no one bothered to contact me although i did Skype them twice but no response.... Appalling customer service... If you buy this product do so at your own

Purchased for personal use in March 2022 and It has stopped working after subscription expired. I was expecting it to continue to work with the old app data waste of money.
