El Malo (The Bad): A Dark Mafia Romance

Rosa the head maid of the Estrada Estate has a secret. She is there to take Javier Estrada down not clean up his boxers. Unfortunately or fortunately in Rosa's case, the best-laid plans don't always work out the way we intended. Javier Estrada is the head of a deadly gang called "El Malo". He is busy building his empire and although he has noticed his hot maid, he doesn't believe in getting involved with the help. That is until he can no longer deny his attraction to his trying to be plain but failing miserably, Rosa. Rosa is strong yet vulnerable. She endured a tragedy that many would not recover from and life has never been the same for her. I loved her sass, her ability to do her "job" and not get caught for four years says a lot about how good she works for the agency. She has Michael, her contact, to lean on but even the relationship has been stilted as of late. K. Webster showed us and made us experience the internal struggle Rosa was having. Javier is ruthless and hot as fuque!!! Even someone who is so violent and dangerous as Javier is, it is hard to deny the scorching hot attraction that he has to Rosa. K. Webster has made me remember why I love the dangerous men and their ability to have a soft side. The story was sexy as all get out. The sex scenes are hot and left you feeling like you need a cigarette. But like a kid on Christmas morning that finished opening my gifts, I was still hoping for more. I'm greedy that way. K. Webster has rapidly become a one-click author for me! If you are a fan of Mafia books this one is for you. If you like romance this one is for you. Highly recommend this to everyone. There is so much I want to cover here but I don't want to ruin the story and all the goodies that it entails so I will say this, READ THIS BOOK!!

This was a nice change of story uncover CIA, going in to fall 10 toes down in love with the EL Malo King pen . Javier is great intense and I love his intensity and how he has his way with her. This FMC, I thankfully was not dragging my heat reading her inner monologue to much lol. She have me fierce while still falling for her mans. I do feel as if the end was rushed a bit. What Michael did did surprise me, and almost made it to easy that there was no other investigation going other than this undercover op. While I was grateful their world also hadn’t crumpled as well with CIA further involved. Overall amazing great with superb spiciness

I really enjoyed this book! El Malo is raw, gritty, violent, suspenseful, hot and downright great! Javier and Rosa’s story took hold of me from the beginning and never let go until the very end. In reading this, I didn’t know how they were going to make it to their HEA. I loved the way the author had me hanging on every word and action. Towards the end my heart was racing like crazy. El Malo was so well written and so unputdownable. It’s a ride you won’t want to get off of. El Malo gets two big thumbs up from me!!!

I started the sample to see if it would hold my interest and I was absolutely rapt. Definitely dark, but a much richer plot than you usually see in a maid/boss trope. It was just so good. I even read the whole epilogue, which I usually skip.

As soon as I read the blurb for El Malo I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I love reading dark books and when it involves the cartel I’m all over it. Something about their lifestyle seems to fascinate me but yet frightens me all the same. There are several scenes in the book the author describes so vividly it made me cringe but yet I wanted to read more. The story starts with a young Rosa at her favorite restaurant with her mother. What she didn’t expect was her entire world to change. Fueled by revenge, Rosa has one target in mind. Javier Estrada, leader of El Malo and king of the Mexican cartel. For four years, she works undercover as his maid waiting for the chance to strike. Her plans was to seduce him but what she least expected was him to seduce her. Starved for affection, Javier gets in her head and her heart. When these two get in the same room, you can feel the sexual tension. When they finally give in, it’s insanely HOT! “You’re a good maid, mami. So good.” This was a great story and one you should definitely read. Loved it!

Too many things in the story are wildly unbelievable. So much that you wind up pausing to say 'No, that isn't how it goes' before reading more. The worst for a romance is that the 'love' story is one of the unbelievable parts. As for editing, like many of Webster's books, it needs a thorough proofreading to catch all the wrong word choices. And I hated the Google translate Spanish sprinkled throughout. Using a foreign language for flavor can be great. In this book, it's awful. The translations lean toward the literal and most of them sound clunky if you know some Spanish. It really does sound like they used Google translate and didn't have a native speaker proofread. Most of them also give the reader no credit. I understand including some of the translations, but preciosa - precious... it's like they think we can't possibly see the connection or use a translator. This book was definitely not on par with some of the others Webster has written.

I loved Javier. The man is hot and has a sexy, dirty mouth. Rosa grew on me. At the beginning she was entirely too whiney and a complete doormat for Michael. I lost count of how many times her lips trembled and she either had tears in her eyes or cried. Rosa’s CIA training would have made her stronger. I liked the idea of the story and I realize it’s total fiction, however a couple of the scenarios are a bit too hard to believe. For example, Micheal showing up at Javier’s house to see Rosa. There is no way a person could just stroll up and knock on a cartel leader’s front door, especially one who’s supposed to be as feared and dangerous as Javier. Regardless of a few minor issues, El Malo is an enjoyable read. Javier and Rosa were perfect for each other. 3.75 Stars

I must say, this book slayed me and I need my own Javi. Holy heck! Rosa is an undercover CIA agent sent into Javier’s household as a maid to gather intel. She has weekly meetings with her superior on her day off. After four year, Javier notices Rosa and things are a whirlwind after that. No spoilers, so I’ll just say that you won’t see it coming! With that, it’s always the bad ones isn’t it?! I couldn’t be more in love with Javier. He is brutal, unforgiving and couldn’t be more in love with Rosa. Rosa is intelligent and even with her agenda, Will stick up for those who deserve it. Watching this story unfold was something else. I was stress pacing while reading and couldn’t put it down. K Webster is phenomenal and I’ve loved every book by her that I’ve read. She pulls you in at lightening speed then shakes the very ground you stand on. El Malo is a must read for anyone who enjoys dark mafia romance and suspense, it was amazing.

I already read it many times. So much blood. But in the end only bad guys are going to die. And so much love...

How can you read a book were you wish for the bad guy to win? This is K Webster in her finest work. Javi and Manzanita are one hell of a couple. Their book is fast paced and drips sensuality. Read it. You’re not gonna regret it.

Javier Estrada is MINE !!! How I loved this man even though he was a evil sadistic SOB. Leader of the cartel in Mexico, he gets his own way with everyone he meets and scares the s##t out of people, but boy does he demand respect and I totally fell in love with him. K Webster always writes the most deliciously bad men, her books are just great and this is another one to add to that ever growing list. Rosa has worked for Javier for four years as a maid until one day she grabs his attention and so starts the push pull relationship between them. Rosa is hiding a big secret that will literally blow her world apart if Javier gets wind of it but she just can't resist his sexual prowess that exudes from this gorgeous dangerous man. She's falling deeper and deeper into the web of deceit with the lies that she weaves; but Javier makes her feel alive for the first time in years, their sexual chemistry is off the charts and some of the sex scene's would literally melt your panties off !!! Both characters were great to read, I think Rosa was a bit of a push over and could have grown a pair at times, but then she comes into her own and she just grows on you. Javier - Gah - he's just perfect as far as I'm concerned, he has a magnetic personality you can't help be drawn to. Yes this book is at times a little over the top, yes I think it could of been darker, but this is what you expect from K Webster, you just never know what she is going to give you and that's the way I like it !!! With brutal scene's to make you gasp, a riveting story to hold your attention - because you just HAVE to know what happens in the end, this mafia book is a must read !!!
