DeGiotto Rope's hemp rope is hand-laid in the USA by people who know rope bondage. It is made from the very best (linen grade) organic hemp yarns, ethically produced in Romania. All ropes are finished with a "French palm and needle whipping" in a color similar to the rope and all-natural deGiotto Rope oil. The individual yarns are dyed before the rope is wound, so the color goes "to the bone".Please note that all diameters are as stated. In other words, deGiotto rope's 6 mm (about ¼") rope is actually 6 mm. Many bondage rope purveyors sell 7 mm or even 8 mm rope as 6 mm. deGiotto Rope checks their rope with calipers to make sure the rope diameter is as close to exact as possible. Suggested diameter is 6mm for general rope bondage.
