This review is for WORX 12 Amp TRIVAC 3-in-1 Electric Leaf Blower/Mulcher/Yard Vacuum - WG512, $117 on amazon. My original TRIVAC 3-in-1 Amazon order arrived in a perfectly well sealed box and it was quite clear that the item was brand new, not used, from the way it was perfectly packed. I excitedly took it out of the box, installed the blower duct, switched from Vac mode to blower mode, plugged the TRIVAC into 120 VAC power source, turned the tool’s power switch on and . . . . NOTHING. I mean NOTHING. I confirmed that the 120 VAC power source was live and that the blower duct was fully engaged . . . and still nothing. I switched from blower to Vac mode and installed the vac bag. I turned the tool’s power switch on and . . . . STILL NOTHING. At that point I was figuring I was pretty stupid because I couldn’t get a brand new simple tool to power up. I checked the owner’s manual and it confirmed that what I had done was correct so . . . it turns out I received a faulty tool that managed to get shipped from the manufacturer without the final product-functionality-check. I returned the tool to Amazon and they quickly shipped me a replacement. The replacement has been working just fine, as the original should have. The reason I purchased the Worx TRIVAC was to suck up leaves that fall during the fall onto a crushed rock area at the front of my front lawn. The rocks are screened 1-1/2” and leaves tend to get wedged between rocks making it not possible to blow them off in the spring. In the past I’ve used a Troy-Bilt Lawn Vac to do the job but I always had issues with the leaves getting plugged in the 6 foot long 4” diameter hose and rocks getting sucked into the machine. This spring the Troy-Bilt vac’s gas engine bit-the-dust so I needed a replacement. I was hoping this TRIVAC tool would work and it has exceeded my expectations. On the higher speed setting it has enough suction to suck up the leaves but not so much suction as to draw any rocks up into its impeller. The suction inlet duct is straigt and 4-1/2” diameter so I had no issue with leaves getting stuck in it. Only issue I had was that holding the TRIVAC using its handle was putting a strain on my back so I added a club-shaped “handle” onto its end. I used two Size 72 hose clamps strapped around the motor housing to hold the club handle in place. See my photo and video. That addition of the rear handle to the tool worked great and prevented any back ache over the course of the seven, or so, hours that I ran the TRIVAC to suck up the leaves from the rock bed.

In my yard I have 4 old oak trees. Picture 4' trunks (diameter, not circumference.) Spring time is leaves time. Its brutal. One is next to the driveway and there are times I can hardly see the concrete under that one. I got this mostly for the driveway and street. As of this review, I have only used it once so keep that in mind as you read. I used my regular leaf blower to concentrate everything on the driveway into a fairly compact area then started vacuuming. At first I just held the bag versus throwing the strap over my neck. When I saw how little dust came out when in use, I did throw the strap over. It seemed like I vacuumed up a lot of leaves but when I went to dump it, the bag wasn't even half full. There was the dust. What came out ranged from leaves that had been pulverized into a powder to whole leaves that looked untouched and everything in between (see picture.) When I was done, I was amazed that it all fit into a single trash bag and that bag was about 2/3 full. Using the broom-and-dustpan method, I think it would have been about 4 bags. Word of caution here, it took the utmost of care to pull that bag from the trash can without tearing it. Don't fill your trash bag more than 1/2 to 2/3 full or it will be heavy. Even if you baby it to the curb, the trash man won't be so gentle and you'll have a mess to sweep up. I almost bought the trash can adapter but I don't think I will. You can't fill the can all the way if you're using a bag. The shoulder bag works well and is not difficult or too dirty to wear. It also empties extremely easy. If you stick the nozzle face first into a pile of leaves, it will clog. I tapped the end on a bare patch of driveway and that forced the clog through. All my leaves were dried out and dry so, ideal conditions for using this. There's a review with pictures where the reviewer rigged wheels on the end of the hose. That's a really good idea. What was left was small sticks. I know some went through but a lot of them didn't. I'm talking about sticks the size of chopsticks. I think they lack the surface area for the vacuum to pull them through. The broom made quick work of what remained. So, one use in and I like it. Hands down it beats the broom. That says nothing of its durability or using it as a blower, which I probably never will.

Within 24 hours I went from “what a terrible piece of ****” to “this is a GREAT machine”! The reason for my initial reaction is because within the first few minutes of usage a piece of mulch with JUST the right size got jammed sideways right in front of the mulching propeller, and I was not aware of it. All I noticed is that there was almost no suction and the barrel kept getting clogged with leaves! So, completely disappointed, I started disassembling it and cleaning it up in order to return it. That is when I discovered the jammed piece of mulch that was causing the problems. It had blocked the leaves from reaching the mulching propeller so of course they were not getting through to the bag! After I cleared it, it worked GREAT! I basically did my whole back yard without interruptions, and I have a lot of big trees with a lot of leaves! I tried the blowing, too, and it was VERY powerful, although I mainly bought it for the vacuuming function. I am 6’1” and I wish the barrel was just maybe an inch longer but, of course, it has to be a one size fits all. Also, it is just a little heavier than my previous one but not too bad.

Excellent - this is my second one - I purchased my first as a clearance item from a big box hardware store in 2018 and used it many times each Fall for the leaves I had. I lived on a lake and the home was surrounded by 25 extra large, oak trees - probably 100 years old - and this was my "go to" way to get rid of the leaves because we weren't allowed to bag them and my only other option was burning them. It even sucked up pine cones. Yes, I still bagged my mulched leaves but I took them to a place that collected leaves. My original was working fine but when I moved, I gave it to my neighbor. It turns out I have 3 trees where I live now so I needed another one. It's loud, but it Worx well. Definitely recommend this.

Been looking for a replacement yard leaf vac/blower for quite some time. Thought I'd try Worx WG512. Read many reviews. Some very positive. Some negative. Unfortunately I fell into the negative category. I really wanted this to work. Concept is there - just not the implementation. Made of great heavy duty plastic. Love how rotation of a turning mechanism changes this from a blower to a vac and this is where the fault lies with the product. I rotated that lever several times in practice and heard it 'clicking' into position. Upon first several power ups - the unit would just not engage - even though it was plugged in correctly. After powering off and moving that lever - it finally clicked enough into position - that it would power up. This thing is also very loud compared to my previous other manufacture unit that I had originally for 6 years. I use different manufacturer blowers almost every other week - I have artificial turf for my backyard - So I use it to help blow the dog fur or leaves / twigs that have fallen. During the fall - units get a workout blowing all the leaves and then pulverizing them into small bits. (This is one thing I read in many reviews that the Worx was not great at - grinding up leaves - but unfortunately I never got a chance to try). As well - I have a backup gas powered blower to use (as I've had that for 12-15 years) and it still runs like a champ - but I dislike smelling of 2 cycle after I'm finished all the time. So I attempted to use the Worx blower yesterday and had power to the unit and it started fine on its high speed. Suddenly - I began to smell a burning plastic and then electrical smell. I powered off unit. Examined the motor and made sure the fins were rotating freely. Which they were. I started the unit back up - It began to run and went immediately from high speed to low speed on its own. At this point I powered entire unit off took it back into my garage. Got my gas powered unit out and finished blowing my backyard. Later I tried powering the Worx WG512 unit in my garage and unit would not even power on. Time to box unit back up and return it. I so wanted to try this Worx unit out - especially the leaf collection unit which will attach directly to trash cans. But due to the issues with this unit, and I'm not in the position to constantly exchange units with manufacturers - some would say that I got a bad unit. I just don't think the quality control of this is quite up to par. Finally - it was definitely a electrical issue with the motor. When I had the unit on my workbench and I was taking the tube off the unit - I noticed fine granules collect at the bottom of where the motor was. At first - I thought this was just fine plastic, but upon further review - these plastics looking pieces were actually the magnetic parts from the interior motor. I captured these in a ziploc bag to send back.

I looked around before I found this product. I have 5 large Claudia Wanamaker magnolias and 5 manicured Eagleston Hollies that drop a lot of leaves. I spent long hours trying to remove the leaves after I trimmed the hollies, and the Eagleston leave drops while trying not to remove mulch at the same time. I wanted a battery operated unit but most I saw only had 20 mins of use befre they needed a recharge, or were way to pricey $500 and up. I thought I would give this guy a try and I couldn't be more happy. I tried it out on teh holly leaves first and it did an amazing job on the lowest setting. I switched on the higher setting for a while for the larger pile, but to be honest, it worked just as good on the lower setting. I used iit in the flower and it vacuumed the leaves great while barely disturbing the mulch. The bag did get a little heavy on the shoulder as the bag nears filling, but not bad. If you drag the electric cord behind you it really doesn't bother too much. Overall I am very excited with the unit. It has saved me a lot of time with cleanup after trimming and picking up the dropped leaves from the Magnolias. I highly recommend this!

The unit is very loud in both blower and vacuum modes—comparable to a commercial leaf blower. I also found it awkward and fairly heavy to carry for extended periods, especially while managing the attached power cord. The blower function is strong and works well. However, the vacuum function was disappointing. Mode 1 is so weak that I wouldn't bother using it. Mode 2 is noticeably better, but still not particularly impressive. The vacuum works only for very light debris such as small leaves, pine needles, and fine yard debris. It struggles with sticks, pine cones, and anything larger or heavier. In many cases it would pick up debris only to spit it back out moments later. I tested the unit on roughly a 100-square-foot area and found that vacuuming took longer than simply raking and manually collecting the debris. The process was slow and required a great deal of patience. Another downside is the amount of dust generated during use. By the time I finished, I was covered in a fine coating of dust and sandy particles from the airflow. While the mulching function does reduce debris size, it comes at the cost of blowing dust and fine particles back onto the user. Overall, I would not recommend this unit. While the blower is powerful, the excessive noise, heavy and awkward design, and underwhelming vacuum performance outweigh the benefits.

The WORX Trivac 3-in-1 is an amazing tool for yard work and has made fall cleanup so much easier. The blower is very powerful, easily moving large piles of leaves with strong airflow, and the vacuum function works great for picking everything up quickly. The mulching feature is a big bonus—it reduces leaves down nicely so the collection bag fills much slower, which saves time and trips to empty it. Switching between blower and vacuum modes is simple and quick. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and comfortable to use for longer periods without getting tired. This is a great all-in-one solution for lawn care and works much better than I expected. I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and convenient leaf blower/vacuum combo.

Tal como la describen, soplador, aspiradora con triturador. Las hojas las hace aserrín, hasta dan ganas de usar el resultado para abonar macetas y el jardín. Las ramitas (pequeñas como las de Jacaranda) las mastica pero no siempre las rompe, ramas más grandes solo pasan si están secas y quebradizas incluso paran el motor (parece que tiene protección para ello). Funciona muy bien, la perilla giratoria con seguro cambia la posición del motor (horizontal para aspirar, vertical para soplar).

This is a powerful leaf blower that does the trick. The real reason I purchased it was the vacuum / mulch feature, and that works as well as advertised. It mulched what would have been multiple bags of leaves into less than a bag. I've only used it a couple of times, but the quality seems very good, and the price on Amazon was lower than what I could have purchased it locally at a big box store.

Great leaf mulcher. Easy to operate. Cord is a little cumbersome, but not as smelly and loud if it were gas powered. The mulcher is metal, so seems like it will be very durable. I did get some thick sticks which clogged the mulcher/fan blade but there is a window that you can easily open to clear out. Only thing is the dial has be completely clicked in when switching from blower to mulcher mode or else the device won't turn on.
