Is it actually compatible with Kitchen aid meat grinder attachment? Just measured a plate for mine it is 59mm and 6mm thick

No, it’s too big for the machine, we had to send it back.

How thick is the grinding plate? They are either 6mm or 8mm and I need an 8mm
