Bionaire Handy Steamer

Bathrooms are a problem in my house. My kids' idea of cleaning a bathroom is a little spray and a swipe once in a while or before guests arrive. But nobody wants to scrub the shower stall and the glass door. Both were DISGUSTING and no amount of elbow work or sprays could remove all of the accumulated stuff and living organisms on the tiles and in between. Enter my BIONAIRE HANDY STEAMER, o wow. It was actually FUN working the shower stall,seeing the scum and accumulated dirt just melt down right before my eyes, leaving behind a sparkling clean surface with no elbow grease on my part except brushing and rinsing away. I had NEVER seen the tiles so clean and scum free and the shower door, you could actually see through! I used a brush or a rough sponge and wiped as I steamed and didn't need any cleaning solutions or chemicals. It was like MAGIC. I have since cleaned a lot of things around the house with the Bionaire Handy Steamer and have no complaints whatsoever.

I bought this to do some heavy duty cleaning without chemicals. The things I was hoping it would work on - hard water stains and oven/stove cleaning - I was not impressed with. The scrubber brush is made of plastic bristles that bent and broke on the first usage and is now useless. The "high powered" steam only removed light grime, but none of the stuck on stuff.What I do like about it is that it heats up really fast, so even when you need to refill the water reserve, you don't have to wait long at all. It's a great fabric steamer and works well as a duster and for disinfecting things.

Highly recommend it for someone who suffers from indoor allergies. Does exactly what it says it will do. The size makes it easy to move around. Steam in less than minute. A full tank of water serves for about 45 mins. Removes moldy scent from closets. Results in a more refreshing living space. Remember to read instructions carefully before use.

I was recommended this steamer by a friend who raved about it and when it came I was excited to try it out. I filled it up, plugged it in and waited several minutes and the top portion of the steamer got warm but when I depressed the trigger, no steam! It only made a vibrating sound. I figured I got a bad one and returned it for another but unfortunately it too did not work. I was very excited to get one that worked and I thought that 3rd time would be the charm. Instead, I was told I couldn't get another so my money was refunded. Very disappointed that I didn't get one that worked. I wish the company would have looked at the problem and sent me a functioning product rather than make me feel like I didn't know how to operate it.

I was excited really excited to get this steamer. I had a similar one (another brand) and loved it, but it wore out. When it finally came, I plugged it in and the light came on but after waiting over 15 minutes, it still never produced any steam. I thought maybe it was just bad luck, so I returned it and had them send another one. The next one was lost by UPS and I waited for yet another one. When it finally came, I plugged it in and waited for it to heat up, only to find out that this one barely spit out a little bit off steam and a whole lot of warm air. So I ended up asking for a refund and sent back the other steamer. Bad deal. Bad deal.

I have used Shark steamers for years. My last Shark broke recently and I decided to search on Amazon.com for a new steamer. I decided to try this Bionaire one due to the good reviews and the fact that it is 1500 watts. I received it and unpackaged it and put it through its paces and it came up short. I used it around the toilets in our house. Gross job, but the Shark would blast away any materials on the inside of the toilet seat and along the back of the seat where it is bolted on to the toilet. This one did not even dissolve or move away any matter there.My next test was cleaning the old outdoor shoes that often have doggy poop on them from cleaning up the backyard. The shark would blast any poop that was in the treads of the yard shoes. This one could not even compete.This one may be good for light jobs, but I like a steamer that blasts gunk out of areas around the stove or sinks or toilet or poopy shoes and this one did not make the grade.

I don't have another brand so I can't make a comparison. People who bought this steamer seems to concern about its quality. For $30, and with this many accessories, the quality of this steamer looks pretty decent for me. It is working right out box without any problem. The steam will get hotter and stronger after using a while. The company should also mention it is 1500 waltz, which suppose to be better than other 1000 waltz units in the market. The only con I found out is it should include a mop accessory so I can use it to clean the floor. I only have this unit for a day and I will see how long it will hold.

The steamer that was sent to me did not work properly. It would warm up, but no steam would come out. Hopefully I can get a replacement steamer because this usually is an awesome product.
