The circumference fit my head fine, and in fact, the L/XL was just slightly big (I normally wear 7 3/8 or 59 or 23 inch), so that wasn't the problem. The problem for me was the depth of the crown. It just felt like it didn't come down low enough on my head. I want my hats to sit just below the bulge in the back of my skull and still come down to just above my eyebrows. This was much too shallow for that. Again, I think it is just my head, but wearing this felt like the hat was sitting on my head, not hugging my head, if that makes any sense. Beautiful, well-made hat, just doesn't fit me right

Great Hat!
This hat has a good fit and holds its shape when folded. It’s made from high quality material that’s easily washed in the washing machine. I bought it for protection from the sun and it provides great coverage. Also, it is definitely worth the price!!

Good hat
Just received today, tried it on and it is true to size. I have a size 7-3/4 head and out of the package it was pretty floppy and almost loose, so I gave it a quick wash in lukewarm water and dried it with some heat. I wanted to shrink it a little, and it did but feels like a great fit for my big head. The brim is a bit wider than I thought it would be, measures out to 3". It will work great for protection from the sun and be a hat I'd wear camping or outdoor events. Good cotton feel after the wash....it's a keeper.

I wore a x large hat big head IN the service I wear a & 1/2 cap. the large /extra large hat 23- 231/5 is loose ,I have length full hair lucky but if I need a hair cut this hat WILL fye off and be in the water. SAD FACE. Wanted it for fishing so I'll be sitting with this hat while going to fishing spot . My other bucket hat is good if it's hot out I would dip in water to cool-off . I'll try it to see how it works the worst that could happen it ends up in Davey JONES locker.

Puppy ate my old bucket hat
This is a good replacement and cost less than my original bucket hat that I bought from the sports store. I like supporting local stores but it is a bit of a drive for me and it was convenient to order this online and it came very quickly. I wanted a wide brim and 100% cotton and that is what I got. I am totally bald and always banging my head, so I like to put a folded bandana inside the hat to give my noggin some extra padding as the crown of these hats are always thinner than the brim and sides. My head circumference is 22 inches, which calls for the small/medium but I ordered the large/extra large, soaked the hat and ran it through the dryer and it shrunk well enough to fit (Honey, I Shrunk the Hat!!). Happy with the purchase.

No lo compres!
EL SOMBRERO LLEGÓ CON LAS COSTURAS DESCOSIDAS (como lo muestro y lo demuestro en las fotografías); la tela es muy muy delgada "muy frágil" y no creo que sobreviva una lavada en lavadora; "el ala" del sombrero no es firme y se cae (escurre por tu cara) sin remedio. Parecía ser buena marca y estar bien hecho pero NO. La calidad de materiales es baja y la construcción y la manufactura son terribles. El sistema no me permitió hacer la devolución "por razones de "salud" y "seguridad", siendo que el sombrero aún está nuevo (sin usar) con su etiqueta y en su empaque original. Ahora tendré que quedarme forzosamente con un producto defectuoso y pagarlo aunque no me sirva para nada. Más de $500 pesos mexicanos a la basura. Por favor, no tires tu dinero a la basura comprando ésta basura... No lo compres!

It’s a floppy sun hat.
The brim is more lightly constructed than one might expect from the marketing photos. It will not hold its shape.
