It may be me?
I am not a rocket scientist. And certainly, it can't be too hard to interpret the results of an anti freeze test. But, I could not understand the chart that came with this product. I tried, I really did. For a person who is not a mechanic, the card that explains the results might be a little easier to interpret or perhaps a small pamphlet to better explain how to read the results would help. I can't find anything wrong with the test kit. Just, how do you read the darn thing?

Strips expire in less than 30 days.
The fact these strips are so close to expiring tells me that the vendor is using customers to get rid of old soon-to-be-expired products. In other words he's taking advantage of his customers. I did try two strips and both were spoiled. The nitrate pads were brown and the instructions say that if nitrate pad is brown to discard the strips.

Works
I was nervous about ordering these without being able to see the expiration date because they definitely have a shelf life. Luckily these are good for a while. We have a small trucking business and don’t need to use them quickly. Overall, I find them to be pricing no matter where you shop but these were the best price I could find. Suggestion is be sure to check the expiration date so you don’t waste your money.

Works OK
I’ve been using these test strips for about 6 years on my Ford 7.3 Power Stroke. They work fine as intended for monitoring the coolant condition. As with any test strip, expect some “interpretation” of the results as the actual colors on the strip will be rough approximations of the comparison chart.Beware that these strips have expiration dates and sometimes they get sent out at the very end of their useful life. My most recent purchase gave an expiration date of April, 2024 and I received them the last week of March, 2024. At $24 bucks I found that unacceptable.

Hard to Find, Necessary for DT466
Just what we needed to keep track of coolant additive levels in wet-sleeved DT466. Not used too often, small pack means we don't get left w/ lots of expired test strips.

6.4L Diesel coolant
It is the perfect size for testing your coolant life, 4 test strips. If you use Motorcraft Gold for you Diesel engine this is the kit you need. Shelf life date was good, I have 11 months before they expire. Shouldn’t be a problem because I used two for this sample. Not that you need to but I double check results with different sample of the same coolant to make sure it is accurate to each other.
