GPS / Radio / In Dash System
It got to me FAST, and it looks good. But, look at the picture. Do you see the 2 tabs at the bottom. One on the left and one on the right? Those are just tabs, not bolts. The dash bezel is the only thing holding this unit into place. The 'L' brackets on my old radio can be removed, but this unit does not have holes to screw them into. So the unit can not be secured into the dash. But maybe I'm spoiled with my other truck and I have a Ford 'My Touch' system in it, but this one isn't the easiest to navigate. Plus I can't get some of the radio stations that I got on my old system.I challenge anybody to tell me the manufacturer's name and/or model number to this unit. There are no instructions on how to install it. There are no manuals telling me what this thing is at all. And when the navigation system asked questions during set-up about what system do I have, I don't have an answer. So you can't update the software. And I still don't know how to just turn this thing off. Sometimes I like silence, so I have to mute it.But all in all, it's a nice system.Sorry, but you only get 2 stars from me

Works great... few mods to get installed.
Bought this for my daughters 2008 Mustang to replace the Shaker500 head unit. Good shipping and pretty fast, in total from buying to arrival it took 20 days. This replacement fitted exactly into the dual DIN slot where the Shaker500 was fitted, if you buy this for the Mustang you do not need a fitting kit or a wiring harness as the wiring comes ready to plug and play, and you need the CAN - Interface, Bin Technology had me confirm via email the model and the year of the vehicle and send photos to confirm. For the Install I took the fitting brackets from the original stock Shaker unit and transposed these on to this new head unit, I had to drill out 2 studs which locate the brackets to the head unit as these were slightly out (Stud each side) however the screws fitted perfectly.I had one slight wiring modification to make and that was a 12 - 5 volt regulator (7805) you can buy these from radio shack for $1.22 and this needs to be fitted on the power amplifiers 12 volt feed (Smallest connector / 2 blue wires) the Ford Mustang uses 5volts to power on the power amplifiers and therefore has to be 5v or you will hear a deafening pop eachtime you turn on or power up the unit, no big deal all replacement head units are 12volt power amp switching. The OS on the head unit is Windows CE with a separate reasonably good looking OS for the Navigation side, its a little like a PC with Linux/Windows boot, once Navigation is loaded you can switch effortless using the NAV button which switches between the NAV/Radio each press. The radio works well, the GPS works well and has turn navigation with 2D or 3D option, updating the maps is easy as the entire mapping is stored on the microSD card which is supplied and ready to go. All in all for the price of this unit, the head unit works great and so far has not crashed or locked up. Have to say with a little effort this is good buy for someone on a tight budget. This is an afternoon install job, and you need to have a some engineering capability / solder / drilling / etc.
