What's the best way to remove the metal cap?

I don't know how t remove metal cap. I put a slit in the top to use and sprinkle it on.

I bought mine about a year ago and could not see how to open it. I used a sharp object, (a knife or scissor tip) to poke a small slit in the top. I shake the bottle and sprinkle it on me. Hope this helps. It is worth the "hassle". Love the scent.
